About this deal

Your problem might not be related to the Wiser system. Both Wiser TRV's control the radiators in the same way. So both of them should be hot. Yes, when a TRV from another room (lets call it room 2) drop below its setpoint temperature it will call for heat and the boiler will turn on to heat that room. If you only have dumb TRV's in the room with the room stat (lets call this room 1) then when Room 2 is calling for heat then Room 1 will also be heated as it has no way to turn off those radiators while the boiler is on to heat Room 2.

Calibrate the TRV by turning and holding it to minus (the blue LED). The TRV pin should descend onto the valve pin and close off the valve. The centre LED will signal when the batteries need to be replaced. (as well as being view able in the app in settings - devices) The same with the bedroom, however it warms up ever so slightly, like as if it was the old Danfoss TRV set to 1 or 2 out of 5. We did notice a slight delay of around 10 seconds to one minute between boosting the heating from both the radiator thermostat or the app and the boiler springing into action. The further away from the Heat Hub the thermostat is, the longer the delay. Initially, we also struggled to get the radiator thermostat in the room furthest from the Heat Hub to remain connected to the system at all times. It would often drop the signal, meaning we were unable to control it via the app. However, after installing an optional Wiser Smart Plug – which also doubles as a range extender for the system – in a room between the Heat Hub and the troublesome radiator thermostat, connection issues were no longer a problem. Introducing one of the newest additions to the Wiser family, the Wiser Electrical Heat Switch, enabling smart mixed heating systems within the home

Additional room thermostat - add to rooms with radiator thermostats as a convenient way to view and change the room temperature. Devices can be reset manually at any time e.g.if the Heat HubR is replaced. To remove thedevice binding to a heating system allowing it tobe joined to another system do the following: have no minimum requirement for heating controls other than those required at the time of installation. Again you can opt for an advanced control. You may only wish to have the functionality of an internet control. Guide to selecting the right advanced controls Neither of the boiler manufacturer's smart TRVs are compatible with home automation devices such as Alexa, IFTTT and Google Home.

Thanks I did this with both TRVs last night. Also put a spot of WD40 on the wee pin to make sure it moved more freely, and they now work A 2-channel smart thermostat system suitable for conventional boilers. Control the room thermostat from anywhere via the Wiser app. The TRVS replaced old Danfoss ones, which was an easy swap. They have connected to the system without issue. However the living room one, even when I put it on boost, will not allow the radiator to warm up. I can hear the solenoid open so should allow hot water to flow but it will not warm up The Heat Hub is a rectangular box with two buttons. One button activates the set-up process, while the other starts the whole system heating. LEDs above the buttons glow green when these options are active. The Heat Hub should be screwed to the wall next to your boiler. The square smart thermostat has a two-inch screen that shows the current temperature of the room it’s in, as well as the desired temperature. It also displays the relative humidity and battery level, and features a flame icon to indicate if the heating is switched on. Smart radiator thermostats can help you to save on your home’s energy usage by giving you complete, room-by-room control over your home heating. The Drayton Wiser system lets you set a schedule for each thermostat, indicating a desired temperature for each room in your home at different times of the day. For example, you can set the bathroom to warm up first thing in the morning and last thing at night, if you don’t use it during the day. As already mentioned, you can override a set schedule at any time by manually twisting the top of the radiator thermostat (turning the heating on in that room for 30 minutes) or from the app, where you can choose for the heating to remain on for between 30 minutes and three hours. must have ‘time and temperature controls’ namely a programmable room thermostat or a thermostat with separate programmer. You can still opt to install an advanced control. Existing boiler installations:

Some of the system radiators use generic 32mm TRV bodies and old Myson 28mm TRV's with third party metal adapters, they all work perfectly. The flame on my app/thermostat is displayed indicating the heating is on, however my boiler isn’t on. Is this normal? (WH)When placed in the same room, does the Wiser Radiator Thermostat or the Wiser Room Thermostat take precedence? I'm trying to install and set up a Drayton Wiser kit 1 with 6 radiator thermostats for several days. The heathub turns on the boiler and starts heating, BUT hot water is constantly circulating in all of the radiators. For example I want to heat the kitchen up to 22 Celsius from 18 (only the kitchen), but leave all the other rooms (zones) at 18. The boiler turns on after setting the temp in the Wiser app and starts to heat the water and the temperature goes up in all of the zones. It seems heathub does not close any of the TRVs even if heating is not needed in that zone.

I had a power failure and when Wiser powered up again I couldn’t see any measured temperature in the app and the room/radiator thermostats were unresponsive. Does it mean I have to recommission the system? The adding of devices with App 6.2.0 (build 1099) is not possible. I have tried with a thermostat and with a thermostatic valve. A 1-channel smart thermostat system suitable for combi boilers, includes 2 radiator thermostats to get started with multi-zone heating. Control the Reboot. Reinsert the batteries after a short gap, e.g. 10 seconds. Make sure you get a strong red LED and that the solenoid electrically retracts the pin into the body to its maximum, so the TRV is fully open. If this does not happen, then swap the batteries out with others until it does. A 1-channel smart thermostat system suitable for combi boilers. Control the room thermostat from anywhere via the Wiser app.

Containing multiple sensors, the Wiser smart radiator thermostat can keep your room heated to a specific temperature that you set by either twisting the top of the TRV or using the app. For even more accurate room-to-room heating add a Wiser Smart Room thermostat to your system. Have achieved mixed results with the Danfoss conversions, some work well, others produce results much the same as reported in this post despite re-calibration, valve free-up & lubrication and smart head substitution, have come to the conclusion that the only long term solution for these devices is replacement of the valve bodies. Both Worcester and Vaillant offer their own smart TRVS that are only compatible with their products. Advantages
