About this deal

The book starts off strong, setting up a monumental battle between the skaven & the dwarves for control of ... oh, hell, all the dwarven strongholds sound the same to me. Karaz a Karak? Whatever. Anyway, lots of fun is had with the skaven, and the dwarves are plenty stolid and interesting. I'd say I overall enjoyed the first third of the book. Settra disappears from the gamebooks after the Chaos gods resurrect him. He shows up in the last novel among Archaon's champions, where he promptly switches sides and leaves a trail of destruction through the Chaos forces. His final fate is never revealed. To me, the best part was exploring the societies and tactics of the various races. Might seek out the others or jumping to the final book of the series.

books? Is this the correct order in which to read these books?

Well-Intentioned Extremist: Teclis allowed his bastard niece Aliathra to be sacrificed as part of a ritual to resurrect Nagash. Because Aliathra's blood was that of Aenarion's and not of Asuryan's, Nagash was denied the divine powered he sought, and therefore, giving Teclis and Malekith time to properly deal with the great necromancer. This also factors in Teclis' plan to allow Nagash's return so to seek an alliance with him to fight the Chaos Gods. The Glottkin- Either Nurgle's giving them another chance or his keeping them in jars in his mansion was a way to protect them from the End Times. No Endor Holocaust: Averted. The destruction of Morrslieb would have destroyed the world if the Lizardmen hadn't burned up most of their energy making sure it didn't, and even then they couldn't save Lustria. Mankind does not recognise its doom - not yet. They only hear the drums in the north, and know that war is coming. Some will fight. Others will abandon reason, seeking salvation in scripture or the scourge. They are deceived. The Dark Gods are stronger than ever before, and the old gods fade. Only in death will any respite be found." A Gardener in Parravon by Brian Stableford under the pen name Brian Craig (originally published 1989 in Warhammer: Ignorant Armies)

Or it is just me :) I haven't played for years now, and these books evoked the memmories of some past times when everything was different, more simpler.

What Happened to the Mouse?: Several characters are still alive at the end but don't make it to ''Age of Sigmar", including immortals last seen with others who did. Thanquol disappears after the end of his own book and has no further impact on the plot, although Word of God is that he's the one who saved Skavenblight.
