About this deal

the servant girl that is bullied, disregarded, and beaten by the evil, evil housekeeper. 😢 The same servant girl who has MAGIC 🪄 and can sew BEAUTIFUL gowns 🤩🪡👗 but knows she can never wear them. The prince who doesn’t want to become king and carry all those responsibilities. 😠 You have to understand; NO ONE in his life understands him! 😭😭 Women are all either simpering stupid little princesses or evil! 👿 JUST LIKE HIS MOTHER! But lo and behold, there is one girl, so beautiful, so mesmerising, so enthralling that he falls head over heels in love with her at first sight! 😍😍 BUT SHE IS FORBIDDEN! 😱😱 SHE IS AN ENEMY OF THE STATE! 😨 Don’t you understand? She could be his family’s DOWNFALL! 😩

Kamran's position in this book, as the nice prince is also quite great. I loved his perspectives and his role in this entire story. The world building was excellent. I was immersed in the places that Tahereh Mafi created whether it was a closet room or a palace; a lush town filled with nature or dirty city streets. I loved that I got to see the city through Alizeh’s eyes, which means I slowly discovered more about the Kingdom while reading the book and it never felt overwhelming.

Okay let hear my story. lol I began my adventure at Ardunia. Here I met the crown prince of the empire 'Prince Kamran' who is instantly interested in my jinn friend Alizeh just a few times they met! This fast, mannn!! Even though she's just a servent!! 😲 I don't know why? Scott Shane's outstanding work Flee North tells the little-known tale of an unlikely partnership ... How--how can you even say such things," she said, her hands beginning to tremble, "on an evening you are meant to choose another as your bride?" I have not read Tahereh Mafi’s last series, which I’ve affectionately referred to as ‘ The Eyeball Books’ As Alizah and Kamran begin to unfold the stories that surround each other, there’s more at stake than they realised. My thoughts on This Woven Kingdom

To all the world, Alizeh is a disposable servant, not the long-lost heir to an ancient Jinn kingdom forced to hide in plain sight. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this read and look forward to what will come next. Definitely add this to your TBR as it would make an excellent winter read, cosied up by a fire.

There's also too much character exposition. Readers are capable of analyzing a character's personality without being constantly told character traits. I think this book would've been more enjoyable if Mafi showed us instead of telling us. It's also true that this book is quite good at taking clear and logical storylines and elevating them language-wise to a level so esoteric they are rendered ineffectual. The book itself is very beautiful. I love the cover and the fact that the chapter numbers are written in the Persian language. It looks so beautiful 😍 The crown prince, Kamran, has heard the prophecies foretelling the death of his king. But he could never have imagined that the servant girl with the strange eyes, the girl he can't put out of his mind, would one day soon uproot his kingdom—and the world. You are quite good," his grandfather said coldly, "at taking clear and logical arguments and elevating them to a level so esoteric they are rendered ineffectual." The plot twist was also great and the introduction of the enemy was very detailed and still I have questions. Here, between angry and irritable, lies my charming personality. It does not change. You may be grateful that I am consistent, at least, in being boorish.” Clashing empires, forbidden romance, and a long-forgotten queen destined to save her people—Tahereh Mafi’s first in an epic, romantic trilogy inspired by Persian mythology. I recommend this book to anyone who loves young adult fantasy, great characters and awesome world building.

Why I say it's trouble? Because not just this prince! You guys will meet 2 boys here and SERIOUSLY! Both boys have our Warner vibe. One way or another. Prince Kamran is obsessed with Alizeh ( just like Warner's obsessed love for Julette, you remember? ) While another is oh my gosh bad, bad boy..

Dear Academy, friends, and fellow readers. It is with great pleasure that I accept this award. As you surely understand, it took immense self-composure and strength to act in Managing Not to Throw This Book Repeatedly Against a Wall, but I hope you can see that your votes and confidence in me are much appreciated. I liked the story and found it very readable, although it's not quite as quirky as Mafi's Which wood. Alizeh is a strong female character. For my kids, I would recommend this for 12+. There is some gore, fighting and violence, but my kids manage that fine. There are echoes of Cinderella themes. I can't wait for the sequel. What I really love in this book was the world-building. It was interesting to know about the jinn and clay. I also loved that the names were Persian names which I can pronounce correctly. I felt proud when I knew the names.
