About this deal

Only kissing, but lots of suggestive language about what they wanted to do. It wasn’t written poorly in my opinion. Excitement. Giddy, happy, excitement. That's what I'm feeling right now. I just had THE MOST FUN reading this new book by Sarah Adams. It's no secret that I love to be entertained when reading and I love when I am left with an emotional high. This book gave me so many smiles, quite a few giggles and all the sizzle of attraction. It was so yummy.

I definitely need to go on a Sarah Adams binge before my KU subscription ends. All of her books just look so adorable. Great review! Drew Marshall may have let me move into his spare bedroom while my house is being renovated, but don’t think for one second his kindness comes without strings. Big, ugly, fake relationship strings. I didn't love Jessie in the first book, but I thought maybe I'd like her more once I got into her head. Nope, I liked her even less. While some of the pranks she pulls are funny, some are mean and done with malice. She's a twenty something about to have a baby, but acts like preteen with her tantrums and whining. Drew isn't totally innocent and does play pranks too, but he also has moments where he's sweet to Jessie. Remembering foods she likes and doesn't, giving her massages when she's achy, caring about her health. I'm not sure how he put up with her ridiculousness. Did I say the previous book was juvenile? Because this book really surpassed it and I'm not even disappointed at the moment. I knew I was going to be disappointed when I started this book. I don't know why all the characters she writes are so whiny and act worse than teenagers.I could not put this book down. I stayed up waaaaaay into the night to finish it and didn't regret it at all. I'm ready to read it again!! 😁 Full transparency, this is one of those books I shouldn’t have read because I will be unfairly judging it based off the actual basis of the book

Review: The Temporary Roomie (Sarah Adams) - A Novel Glimpse

If you want a laugh out loud, full of fun rom com. Then go no further. You just found the right book for you. The banter between the main characters is so good and their pranks are so funny. I love Drew and Jessie so much!! turns on mic* ok everyone im just saying yall need to read sarah adams books because they're amazing *turns off mic*

Immature characters. This sadly goes to Jessie again because god.. sometimes I forget she’s pregnant with all that’s happening. Just to say i am really disappointed with this work by her cause i really enjoyed the other books by Sarah!

The Temporary Roomie by Sarah Adams | Goodreads

The Temporary Roomie: A bestselling Romantic Comedy ? A hilarious romance of enemies turned lovers as seen on TikTok this book is without a doubt my new favorite by sarah. jessie and drew have a ton of chemistry and i couldn’t stop smiling through the entirety of the book. let me list the tropes because they’re my top tier ones: This book was cute, but I was hoping for a lot more from it than what I got. Also, I think I’m growing out of the enemies to lovers trope because I hardly ever read a book that is actual enemies turned lovers anymore and I’m realizing that it kinda bothers me when it’s not a true enemies starting point… this book is so wholesome and hilarious. I've been so obsessed with drew and jessie since the off limits rule! in this book, jessie needs to stay somewhere while her house got renovated and drew also needs someone to be his fake date in an upcoming event, so what next? they agreed to help each other anddddd it's a war of pranks between them. (love it)I am so unhappy about what Sarah chose to do with this book. I was really looking forward to Drew’s story. I loved his character from the last book, so I’ve been anticipating this one. And I have really enjoyed her other books. So many tropes and such great romcom moments keep this funny story from Sarah Adams moving swiftly. It’s the second in a series but works perfectly as a standalone. Underneath all the aggressive feelings, both Drew and Jessie are kind and silly for each other. It’s a fun and slightly ditsy read, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon ❤️ I really wanted to love this book, but I just didn’t. The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams was one of my favourite books of last year. It was hilarious and I remember having a smile on my face the entire time I read it. However, for me, the Temporary Roomie completely missed the mark. If you are just starting out with reading, I think you may like this but for me personally, I have been craving more depth in the books I read, and TTR just did not have that. I didn’t feel the spark between the two main characters, and they just seemed to handle everything very immaturely. I didn't like the characters and therefore couldn't get into the storyline. It just wasn’t for me. Yay!!! I have enjoyed all of them. The Match was my favorite, but I think this one might have surpassed it.
