This is one of the best new entries into the tequila world from the past few years. Lalo was founded by the grandson of Don Julio Gonzalez, and is named after him (Eduardo “Lalo” Gonzalez). So far there is only a blanco, and it’s one that is equally good sipped as it is mixed, with a palate that is crisp, earthy, and complex. Lalo says that the tequila is additive free and made using traditional methods. The Sierra de Penjamo is one of the biggest attractions. Several ecosystems allow you to do various activities, such as camping, ATV tours, and exploring canyons and rivers. There might be a fairly wide range of flavored tequilas on the market, but by far, the best comes from Tanteo. The brand was founded in 2009 and prides itself on creating infused, 100% agave spirits. Tanteo produces award-winning artisanal tequilas in a class of its own.
