About this deal

Unfortunately the factor 50 tinted face sun cream peels off regardless of how I wash or moisturise my face. I bought some tubes for my Mum as well and she has experienced the same. I'm disappointed as I like the company and delivery and service were good, and somewhat surprised as this brand was recommended by a melanoma charity. Will likely try another brand next time I'm in need of sun cream. Is it just me or can anyone not find the SunSense Sensitive Invisible in the purple bottle anymore? r/AusSkincare is a place for all Australian and New Zealand Reddit users (and anyone else, really!) to come and discuss all things skincare related.

We use your kids suncream and rate it highly but bought the roll on one so my daughter could put it in better by herself at school but it doesn't work. I've tried lots and given up and will just open it out and pour it into an old bottle. Disappointed As soon as possible after swimming, shower off using your usual emollient wash/oil/gel. Then apply more leave-on cream than usual. (If the pool showers use chlorinated pool water, it is best to go home and take a shower/bath immediately you get there.) As with eczema creams, finding the right sunscreen is a matter of trial and error - as what works with one child, won't work for another. In recent months, LUPUS UK has received a growing number of reports from lupus patients unable to obtain SunSense SPF50+ products via their NHS prescription. On Friday, 19th of August, it was confirmed that all SunSense SPF50+ products will be unavailable indefinitely.

About

We have been using Sunsense for the last 10 years, since my then two year old daughter had a bad reaction to a big brand cream that we used on her whilst on holiday. My Australian sister in law recommended SunSense and sent some over for us (it was hard to get in the UK then), and the whole family have been using it ever since. Great products! This New Formulation helps protect, soothe and moisturise dry, chapped lips in all seasons. Now with added Vitamin E. Some children with eczema find their skin gets better in the sun, but this is not true of all cases, with itch and rash often getting worse for some children in sunny weather.

Having a little one with eczema is hard enough, but finding a sun cream to protect their vulnerable skin can be a minefield.

If swimming indoors, apply your usual emollient cream or, better still, an emollient ointment, before entering the pool. It is a good idea to put on more cream than you usually would, so that it acts as a good barrier to the water. providers. Thanks to our friends ‘down under’ SunSense provides some of the highest quality protection around. Creams for “sensitive” skin are probably less irritating, but these tend to be ones that leave a white sheen on the skin (titanium dioxide), which some people don’t like. People usually blame their sun cream. Our dermatology nurses advise you try a supermarket own brand cream first, as more expensive creams have more ingredients, such as fragrances, which have more potential to cause reactions. Many families manage to identify a cream that suits their child but you should not rely on word of mouth, as the same cream will suit some children but cause reactions in other children! It is important to continue applying your eczema treatments, particularly regular moisturizers, even if the skin doesn’t look dry, as exposure to the sun will dry out your child’s skin. Apply your child’s emollient about half an hour before applying sunscreen (this will prevent the sunscreen from becoming diluted and less protective). Your SunSense products were recommended to me by Amyjayne Aesthetics last year. I was given some free samples to try, I was extremely pleased with the lightness of them, they're not heavy at all on the skin, they soak in beautifully I especially love the tinted cream. I would definitely recommend anyone to try these, I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do. I bought sun sense anti ageing factor 50 as I thought it would do the job of a moisturiser as well as a sun protector. I used it for 4 days, but my skin became very red, itchy and sore so I discontinued use.
