I think, for me, the big thing about this book was, it's the transformation of a woman... for herself, and then later for her children. It’s called Metronome. It’s quite different to what I go for but I really loved it. I thought it was by a woman because the female protagonist is so well written, but it’s by Tom Watson, an annoyingly young man. I loved Bonnie Garmus’s Lessons in Chemistry as well. This book basically gives you the pros and cons of being both, but also allows you to be heavy. It doesn't tell you that you have to be one or the other. You saw it as an option; there's a benefit in being kind of intense and having depth, and I didn't have to hide it any more.
