About this deal

At this time of year, one topic of conversation keeps popping up again and again amongst parents. How does your family celebrate Christmas? Elf on the shelf? Advent activities and chocolate? Do you play Santa? The options for how we celebrate Christmas with our children are ever-expanding. As Christmas approaches, social media is full of beautifully decorated trees, elves on shelves and advent displays. As a Christian mother, celebrating the Christmas season is something that is important to me. I want my children to learn about the birth of our Saviour, and I want them to associate the birth of Jesus with a wonderful celebration. The big thing weighing on my mind this year is Santa. In the secular world, to deny your children Santa is to deny them the magical, wondrous Christmas experience they deserve. Some parents like to go all out, fake phone calls from Santa (there’s an app), letters to the North Pole, and mountains of presents. If they figure it out, if they say “this just can’t be true,” then concede the jig is up. Doubling down makes you doubly untrustworthy. It models fighting for a lie. Be the one who tells them. If building faith in Christ is important to your family, then show it. Talk more about Jesus than you do anything else during the holiday season. Tell them how Jesus is better than Santa. While most Christians are able to generally balance the fun of Santa with the importance of Jesus, some are ready to cancel Santa altogether.

Avenging Conscience was formed by Parker, Stone, and two other students at the University of Colorado. [7] They named the company after the D.W. Griffith film of the same title, which both had seen and actively disliked. [8] It was formed to produce The Spirit of Christmas (1992) and Cannibal! The Musical (1993). [8] [9] Since then, three more projects were produced by Avenging Conscience: The Spirit of Christmas (1995), Orgazmo, and The Book of Orgazmo. Later on for the second film, it was renamed to Krankin-Brass Productions (a parody of Rankin-Bass Productions), and finally, Braniff Airlines (a name taken from the defunct Braniff airlines). Not believe In Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that’s no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world. Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference. Thinking through and questioning things is an important part of development. Don’t fight the truth. Seeing Jesus in Genesis isn’t as clear as the above verses. It helps to cross-reference with other scriptures.IGN staff (January 15, 1999). "Tiger Woods Game Pulled". IGN. Ziff Davis . Retrieved June 28, 2020. Q: Why does Santa come at night and sneak in? Because Jesus will come as a thief in the night at His second coming! While the threat of Santa’s ire may convince your child to comply in the holiday season, it’s teaching them to behave for the wrong reasons. It’s teaching them to behave for a reward or for fear of judgment. It’s the same practice predators, fascists, and cults depend on to get compliance.

So that’s how we came to know the mythical figure of today. But sharing the real, original story surely has value. The true story is beautiful and better than the myths, in my opinion. 6 Christian Values To Consider When Teaching Santa My son asked why we give gifts at Christmas. I told him it is because we are celebrating Jesus coming to earth and being born and when someone has a new baby, you give them gifts. In John 1:1-5 John gives his version of Jesus’ origin story. As he writes it, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and the life was the light of men.The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.” We encourage you to take this information with the love in which it was given. You certainly should not teach your children of the myth of Santa Claus, and you should teach them that Jesus Christ is the Reason for the Season. While there is no harm in exchanging gifts, you certainly should teach your children that it is better to give than to receive. And, you should definitely teach them that Jesus gave the greatest gift of all history, the Gift of Eternal Life!
