I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is Nintendo using up components before a new console is announced. Awesome colors though I don't need any more sets of Joy-Cons in my household at the moment. My kids primarily play on their own handhelds, and I already have 3 sets of Joy-Cons. Very nice! The pastel green looks the same shade as my ACNH one. Would love for them to release some plain white joy cons as well, I have a pair but they’re looking a bit grubby now.

On September 8, 2017, the Neon Pink Joy-Con (R) made it to the US for the first time as part of the Walmart-exclusive Nintendo Switch Splatoon 2 bundle (after the new color had already been sold in Europe and Japan in June). The left Neon Pink Joy-Con didn't make it out until Januaray 6, 2018. A set was never sold.Honestly, Joy-Cons are a huge missed opportunity. Both themed paint jobs and different buttons like we saw in the concepts (SNES buttons + colours!) just after the Switch was announced would sell like hot cakes.

Just a month ago one stopped responding. Sent it to Nintendo, they couldn't fix it, but replaced it for less than price of two joy cons. So, I am very happy with that. While I would love to buy more colors, I do use the pro coontroller most, so why? All kiddie colors IMO (like most of released already). Thankfully my OLED model was available with white Joycons. I got my switch with the animal crossing joy cons and I really like those, HOWEVER, I also bought a separate pair of blue and red controllers so I could play multiplayer and the blue one drifts 🥲

Dear Nintendo (I know you(r) ninjas read everything on the internet), please let us mix & match these (and every other) beautiful Joy-cons when buying a new console...do that and you can add at least a whole quantity of one Switch Oled to your total numbers .

I really like the purple/green combo. Maybe I'll trade in my neon yellow pair that I have for credit towards it. Strong maybe, though.Has anyone else noticed why the red and blue controllers are the other way around vs the ones you get with the console? Red is on the right with console, but red is on the left when bought separate. This is handy as I'll always know which set is which but I have not seen anyone mention it?
