I’ve been using PROVOKE touch of silver for years, initially on my naturally blonde hair, then on highlights and now on my silver hair. It brightens my silver hair and gives it a beautiful finish and when I used it on my blonde hair it removed the brassy tones. The effect is softer, both in terms of the colour and how my hair feels afterwards. I wouldn’t recommend taking your purple shampoo right down to the ends. The hair there can be up to four years old so will grab onto too much of the purple pigment. How? Well, over time, lightened sections of brunette hair can turn brassy and the colour fades. This can occur especially in balayage or ombre hair, or if the hair has been dyed multiple times before. When using this product the colour was deeper than most purple shampoos I have used, it didn’t go into a lather as much as I would like, the smell was okay not chemically but not particularly nice either. Even when I dried my hair with hair drier or left it to dry naturally it still felt soft strong and not dry and knotted. My hair even after first use looked amazing, it was a lovely fresh white blonde. All hints of brassiness had been removed, and it really did make my hair look like it had been coloured at the hairdressers.

Again not much difference and very subtle. I will keep using the product to see if regular use has more of an effect but not too keen as it has a strong scent, like most purple shampoos.

Was pleasantly suprised with this shampoo. Initially thoughts are “wow” its VERY purple and I was concerned it may leave a slight “purple rinse” to my hair, how wrong was I. It not only smells amazing but leaves it feeling really cleaned. You put it on and leave it to do its magic for up to 5mins, then rinse thoroughly. If you have even a hint of brassiness, one wash with this will sort things out straight away. Very purple, and needed to wash your hands and nails after applying. Left on for the 5 minutes stated, and rinsed off.
