About this deal

For a non-scientific projector, consider the BlissLights Sky Lite Evolve. This projector's primary purpose is to create an exciting, colorful atmosphere for parties, bedrooms, gaming rooms and beyond. Like the Pococo, it has a small, discreet, spherical design, and you can control the lights and lasers using a Smartphone app. Most star projectors come with a 'sleep timer' that will switch the device off after a specified amount of minutes. The spherical design means you have near 360-degree angling, and it comes with a 1.5 m cable, giving maximum positioning flexibility. This gives it a slight edge over the Encalife Atmosphere Smart Galaxy Smart Projector, which has similar specs but can only be used in four fixed positions. We think the Pococo Galaxy projector is a great, reasonably priced buy. It does what it is supposed to — it projects high-quality imagery onto any surface to immerse you in the wonders of what the universe has to offer, maintaining a static picture or slowly rotating image. Its body resembles a well-known sci-fi character (R2D2); we're sure this wasn't an accident. A pill-shaped device pivots vertically on a stand to expose either the planetarium end, which is ultimately a light with a plastic cover over the top allowing small 'stars' to be outwardly projected or a slide projector with a focusing ring. Using another of the supplied light covers), the star projector can also be used as a simple blue-colored night light.

The 2.0 version of this projector includes the BlissLights smartphone app, which connects via Bluetooth. With the app, you can choose from seven different effects modes, adjust the intensity of the projector, control the brightness of the laser and even set the rotation speed. You also have the option to create your own custom color blend using the app. However, the stars will always appear either green (for the 'Classic Green Stars' variant) or blue (for the 'Cobalt Blue Stars' variant). The disks for the Pococo Galaxy projector also fit the Orzorz Star Projector and vice versa. A well-known favorite amongst space fans. The sophisticated design and pin-sharp images delivered by the 5-Watt LED make this a desirable model.

Galaxy Projector | Star Projector - POCOCO

The Pococo Galaxy Projector is ultimately the same technology as the Orzorz Galaxy Lite mentioned above, but in a different body. Scroll up to the top of the list to read all of the functionality, it's all the same and even uses the same shape disks; it's just the shape and color of this model that makes it different. Encalife Atmosphere Smart Galaxy Star Projector: Although it is called a Galaxy Star Projector, like most others, this is more of a mood-setting light, showing colors and patterns that reflect galaxies and nebulas with lasers that you could associate with a starry sky.★★★★The images aren't as impressive as something premium like the Homestar Flux — if super vivid imagery is what you expect — but the price point is much lower. You can power it with either a user-supplied 5V DC power cable or three AA batteries which are included. A photo of a projection of Mars using the Pococo projector. This all sounded very similar to the Sega Homestar Flux that we reviewed, which sits at the top of our best star projectors guide. The most significant notable difference, however, is the huge price disparity. We felt we needed to put it through its paces to see whether it competes with the more widely known, more expensive home planetarium star projectors, given that it seems to have very similar functionality. Pococo claims this is an eco-friendly addition to the star projector collection, so we wanted to examine this more closely as well. The image quality easily rivals those of the much more expensive Sega Homestar Flux even though the LED projector isn't as powerful.
