Ryuji's is the Chariot. The card is representative of always being on the move and having lots of willpower, confidence, and ambition, but it can also symbolize a journey. Ryuji is certainly on a journey with the Phantom Thieves, and he is the sort who brings a ton of confidence. However, knowing about Arcanas and their purpose in the story will help you understand the overall lore of Persona and the specific title you’re playing on a deeper level. It isn’t a must, though, as it’s simply the player’s choice how much they want to immerse themselves in the story.
Cause for me, the Persona games stood out from others because of how relatable it was despite being full of supernatural elements. And if I were you, I’d want to get the full version of the game rather than a watered-down version. Joker is special because he gets two major arcana. His first persona, Arsene, is a part of the Fool arcana. It is also the card represented by Igor, that sets Joker on his path. The Fool is a card that symbolizes opportunity, beginnings, and innocence. It can mean taking a leap of faith and not knowing what comes next. It is the card of the improviser. All these meanings are deeply connected to Joker, who is never afraid to take a leap of faith and can also use a variety of Personas, rather than being limited to one. The dog symbol in the card, however, means that Joker's past will not be shaken off. This is symbolic of his arrest.Persona 3– Leanan Sidhe, Laksmi, Hariti, Gabriel, Mother Harlot, Skadi, and Alilat. Penthesilea and Artemisia can only be used by Mitsuro Kirijo Starting from Persona 3, each Arcana has a related Social Link or Confidant, usually with a "story arc" related to an individual that represents the Arcana it's related to, with the exception of the World Arcana, which is rarely seen in gameplay and does not have a related Confidant, as it is to symbolize the end of the protagonist's journey. Each Persona user also has an Arcana they are related to as well, usually defined by their first Persona. Death: Upright the Death arcana is very fascinating, as instead of representing literal death it represents change, transformation, and transition. As they say, when one door closes another door opens! This fits Takemi, since she was unfortunately fired from her old job but because of that she ended up running a clinic in Yongen and meeting Joker who helps her! Reversed the Death arcana may symbolize resistance to change, personal transformation, and inner purging. It's true that Takemi does somewhat "purge" herself of her inner demons haunting her as she comes to realize that she actually isn't at fault for what happened to Miwa-chan. Both Yu Narukami and Aigis once again represent The Fool Arcana. In Ultimax the Arcana is also shared with Elizabeth, who gained it during the events of Arena, when she began a new journey of her own. Social Links or Confidants symbolize the relationship between the Protagonist and other characters in the story. Moreover, it is only by leveling up the Social Links or Confidants that the main character can accomplish 2 things:The Chariot is the sign of control or victory in war and battle. The energy that comes from this Arcana is evident in the aggressive attitudes of Chie and Ryuji, who are the rowdiest and most energetic members of their respective groups. In addition, the Velvet Room's Demon Painter cannot convert Blank/Free Tarot Cards into Fool Tarot Cards, making them a valuable commodity.
Protagonists possessing the Fool Arcana always have a party member who is secretly jealous of their special abilities, specifically Junpei Iori ( Makoto Yuki and Kotone Shiomi), Yukari Takeba ( Aigis), Yosuke Hanamura ( Yu Narukami), and Goro Akechi ( Ren Amamiya).
