About this deal

Sadly, none of the women are all that likable and neither is the storyline. Every character is withholding here, a secret, a lie, something, and when all rise to the surface, it isn’t pretty. I hate that and how these women are all connected to each other in some way is very corny and unbelievable.

This wasn't thrilling or twisty; I saw all of the twists coming, not to mention I had a difficult time liking and/or relating to any of the women. As usual Lucy's books are set near the sea and this one sees Lexi and 5 of her friends heading to the Greek island of Aegos for her hen party to celebrate her upcoming wedding. If any reader enjoys many dark secrets and lies then you must hurry and read this book because it is a most perfect book to read during the summertime! If you liked Big Little Lies, Lucy Clarke’s One of the Girls should definitely be on your TBR. Filled with suspense and mystery, One of the Girls will keep you guessing which friend is the behind the murderous plot.”– PopSugar Another girls bachelorette trip, this time 6 girls travel to a beautiful Greek island. One of them won’t be coming home. Each of these ladies have secrets, which no doubt will come out. One of the six is determined not to let this wedding happen, even if it takes murder to do it.

Publication Order of Standalone Novels

This is a character-driven novel, where each chapter is devoted to learning more about each one of the six. All the women have history, lies and secrets. This would make a great book for lounging by the pool or relaxing on vacation. This doesn't take much thought and is an enjoyable read. This was a semi closed room mystery that leaned more toward a character study than thriller. While I’m not always on board with character driven books, I was immersed in this one and enjoyed it a lot. Shades of Big Little Lies, there were troubling undercurrents of each character and all were lying about something. We get to know each character really well. Robyn was very dull in the beginning but really broke out of her shell towards the end. Although Bella's intentions were always good I found her to be extremely self centered. It is Lexi's hen weekend and six women head to a remote home in Greece to celebrate. These include Brooke, Lexi's wild maid-of-honor, Brooke's girlfriend Fen, whose aunt owns the house, Robin, a childhood friend of Brooke and Lexi, Ana, Lexi's more recent close friend, and Eleanor, Lexi's fiance's sister. They all come ready for sun and alcohol soaked adventures, but the different things that are revealed along the way--some in public and some privately--will shake the group to their core.

Thanks to Penguin Group Putnam, Lucy Clarke and NetGalley for the ARC. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review* This was truly entertaining pop corn and booze read for me! There are so many well built twists and the ending was also jaw dropping! All the women said that Ed’s death was just an accident. Ana and Lexi stayed friends. Eleanor was slowly healing. Fen and Robyn got married. The Review: I'm actually sorry I put off reading this for so long. It was a great fit for me as I enjoy a lot of drama, suspense and low-key girl squad vibes.

By this time, she already knew that she wanted to become a fiction author but needed money to support herself. I also really enjoyed the conclusion to this. I loved the just desserts, if you will, and the way some of the storylines really came full circle. It gave me some real satisfaction at the end.
