About this deal

With so many untapped resources, the first Moon base may not be funded by government-led space agencies at all – private enterprise could be first to set up shop. A recent NASA study suggested that a public-private partnership could slash the cost of the mission by 90 per cent. The Sun on the cusp of Cancer is moving out of the square to Neptune in Pisces. Great time to journal for the next few months, so that we can reflect on current events with more clarity.

NASA’s Artemis program has sparked excitement around the world and catalyzed new interest in exploring the Moon as the agency prepares to land the first woman and next man on the lunar South Pole in 2024. After that, NASA and its growing list of global partners will establish sustainable exploration by the end of the decade. The Sun hovers over the lunar South Pole horizon continuously throughout the day and year, providing a near-constant source of energy for solar power opportunities. There is no single location, however, that avoids periods of darkness. This means NASA must plan for early Artemis systems to survive the extremely cold environment without power, to build in the capability to store power for up to eight days. She has been sharing the life-changing benefits of yoga and the moon for 13 years through classes, workshops, private and corporate sessions, and has taught over 80 worldwide retreats. She is author of Sunday Times bestselling book Lunar Living and the founder of the online sisterhood Lunar Living, which teaches you how to weave the secret and ancient wisdom of the moon into modern, everyday life.Artemis is the first step in the next era of human exploration. Together with commercial and international partners, NASA will establish a sustainable presence on the Moon to prepare for missions to Mars. Do you have days when you feel exhausted, close to burn out and like you want to hide away from the world?

In the concept by D-Shape and Foster Partners, material would be 3D printed onto a light, inflatable scaffold. The waning part of the lunar cycle is when the moon grows smaller in the sky every night. This is the part of the lunar cycle that we use to let go of all that stood in the way of achieving your dreams and intentions. Use the moon’s waning energy to let go of doubts, fears, people, situations, beliefs and anything that stood in your way. And she says she’s excited at the prospect of humans returning to the lunar surface for the first time since 1972.Lunar Livingcould be just the answer that you are looking for. Working with the constantly changing phases of the moon helps you to understand yourself like never before... This year's June Solstice (Summer in the Northern Hemisphere/Winter in the Southern) carries a bit of a punch with it as the Sun was moving from Gemini into Cancer, it was forming an inconjunct (quincunx) aspect to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn on the anaretic degree. The anaretic degree carries intensity to the next level. We feel unsettled by the influence of the last degree of any sign, and when there is an aspect between planets in the last degree of signs, we feel even more jittery with anticipation (or dread) of what is to come. When the Sun is moving from Gemini or Sagittarius into Cancer or Capricorn, it is a solstice event of either being the longest day of the year, or the shortest day of the year, which also adds its own level of intensity. Regardless, there is always a fresh change about to occur as we push into a new season. Fifty years on, the Moon landings remain a powerful symbol of what can be achieved when we mobilise our talents and resources to inspire. Rivalry with the Soviet Union gave the US a compelling reason to go, but it was fleeting. Once the space race had been won, Project Apollo continued for just six more missions before it was cancelled. In addition to the LTV, a pressurized rover will greatly expand lunar surface exploration capabilities to the next level. Pressurization means that astronauts can be in the vehicle in their regular clothing as opposed to wearing their spacesuit inside too. This will provide more comfort to work as they cross the lunar terrain in their mobile habitat and explore large areas. When they’re ready to go outside to collect samples or set up experiments, they would need to put their spacesuits on again.

Power will be an issue in permanently shadowed craters. One way to get it in is by concentrating sunlight using mirrors mounted on a crater rim. “You take one of those mirrors and actively point it down at your rover,” says John Thornton, chief executive of Astrobotic. Yet that knowledge is still limited, as only a small amount of material was returned from a few lunar locations. A team of permanent dwellers would send our ability to study the Moon into overdrive. In addition to protecting against the extremes in temperature, radiation, and seismic activity, one of the chief concerns is the hazard posed by all the jagged and statically charged lunar regolith (aka. "moon dust"). As they illustrate, the Lunar Lander base is equipped to contain (and benefit from) this problem:

The Moon in Leo could have us hankering for love and respect. The question might be, have we earned it? This is a great time to learn new skills or play some new games with family and friends. Moon is square to Jupiter in Taurus. Be careful not to exploit the knowledge about others to justify inappropriate behaviors. Working on improvements is always a great use of the Moon square Jupiter aspect. The lander, which for 2024 hasn't been built, perhaps sums up better than any element the anxiety felt around the accelerated timeline. There’s no hardware to speak of yet, and it remains unclear how it will be tested before 2024. We are moving from our "personal/inner influence" signs into our connections with others signs. Cancer's influence tends to focus upon our familial connections. Our personal reputation can be put to the test as family members will expect more from us this month. There are emotional ties and memories connected to this shift that force us to come to terms with our past as we move into our future. In her lab at the Open University in Milton Keynes, UK, PhD student Hannah Sargeant is working on a way to do just this, using a mineral called ilmenite that’s abundant on the Moon.
