Update: I re-read the book slowly and carefully and I could read all the text. So I bumped the rating up to 4 stars. In addition to the two parts of who God is, he’s wholly love whilst being holy and perfect at his core. The views and opinions expressed in this resource do not necessarily express the views of Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland We recently asked over 14,000 people about the state of their prayers lives and gathered some stats about established habits as well as some common pain points. I’ve had so many powerful moments with him, things I knew in my head but when I see the results from the data being analysed there was a deeper and profound revelation. One of those moments was seeing the totals of Jesus declaring himself being equally Son of God and Son of Man! WOW!

Thank you so much! I already shared this richly informative article. The infographic makes it even better. Keep up the great work. From a fellow Bible geek blogger. Thanks. I enjoyed reading this. I may have missed this, but how did you define “word” for your word count: as each complete word or as a certain number of characters? Again, forgive me if you explained this and I missed it. The project was released to me at a key stage in my journey of relationship with God and without the foundations I had in knowing his character and ways it would have been impossible. But with God it was possible and that relationship has deepened during these last 5 years. And I’ve been itching to make an infographic for some time, so I put all these answers (and more) here! Even the Bible has become the target of sentiment analysis enthusiasts. This visualisation claims to explore the "ups" and "downs" of the Bible narrative, using sentiment analysis to quantify when positive and negative events are happening. The results? "Things start off well with creation, turn negative with Job and the patriarchs, improve again with Moses, dip with the period of the judges, recover with David, and have a mixed record (especially negative when Samaria is around) during the monarchy." You can explore the book-by-book results here.Jeff, that’s excellent work. Unfortunately you are missing 7 books and some chapters which actually make it longer in word count and content. I would find it interesting where these books fit in your really excellent work. These are historical facts, regardless of disagreements between Luther (& his progeny) and the Catholic Church of which Luther was an Augustinian monk and priest. My heart is to show that God’s word can be approached, wrestled with, analysed and meditated on. The Bible is one of the key places we encounter God and his heart for a relationship with us, bringing nourishment and wholeness as we interact with it. I really appreciate and enjoyed sharing these facts with my family. The Bible is fascinating, and I think it Biblical illiteracy is one of the biggest problems today. People are too busy to make time to read and pray because they don’t make it a priority. I don’t know why they think it’s not relevant. Jacob’s favorite son Joseph has two dreams that throw a wrench in the family dynamic. In the first dream, Joseph and his brothers are gathering grain into sheaves. Jospeh’s sheaf stands upright, but the brother’s bundles of grain bow down to Joseph’s sheaf.

From your chart, it looks like Joseph of the NT has the most-recorded dreams in the Bible. Very interesting… I never would have thought that. Several times during this project I have been given the Bible verse Exodus 31:1-11. There was this incredible guy Bezalel who God chose to lead a team of creatives, he was filled with Gods Spirit, wisdom, understanding, knowledge and all kinds of skills to make artistic designs which would form the place where God met with his people and worship happened. This is great, however I thought Peter had a dream that showed him that it was now OK to eat what was considered unclean. This graphic is full of life and hope; it’s one of the most powerful in the whole book because it reveals Jesus as the Messiah! It shows every messianic Old Testament prophecy and then how those were fulfilled in the New Testament. It’s the very thing that the Christian faith is based upon… and that’s what makes it so very exciting! In essence, these infographics solidify and reveal the truth of Mathew 5:17 (“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them”). This is a zoomed-in prelude to ‘All the Prophecies about Jesus,’ using the same data set and key, and, of course, all the same design elements.

12. Solomon’s blank check

This is so wonderfully clear and concise! Really helpful and added greatly to a message I gave recently on dreams that God gives us. You have a powerful ministry to stimulate passion for the word of God by presenting things creatively and engaging the reader.

Introduction — THE INFOGRAPHIC BIBLE

Sometimes in the Bible, God communicates to people in dreams. Some of them are symbolic (like the dreams in Daniel), and some involve explicit instructions from God.The Infographic Bible: Visualizing the Drama of God’s Word” by Karen Sawrey is a marvelous new book from Zondervan. Unique and very impressive, the aim of “The Infographic Bible” is to help people understand the Bible through visual learning. Once you open The Infographic Bible, you’ll find it difficult to put it down. As a teacher, you could build entire lessons around the infographics contained in this book! Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me turn away from sin going forward. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus into my heart and I confess him as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for sending your Holy Spirit to help me obey you, and to do your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.” I learned most of what I know about Daniel’s dreams from the same Precept study! And Joseph’s dream and Solomon’s dream and… It is key to say that each contributor’s view is uniquely linked to their data set and will often differ from other contributor’s, or in fact, my own, view. This was important because I feel different theologies are not something to be feared, but to be embraced and grappled with. A healthy maturity comes from this wrestling. It is certainly true of my own journey.
