About this deal

Mountable under or above desk. I've mine mounted on a 36 inch aluminum bar attached with knobs to the underside of my desk. Perfect height (almost). On the other hand, try finding one in its price range that's as good. I'm waiting on the Alpha upgrade to release from Honeycomb, then I'll get a set from them.

The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System, extravagant naming aside, provides a simple but comprehensive setup for either beginners or seasoned pilots. The yoke, accompanying throttle quadrant, and wealth of ancillary switches and inputs each ensure complete control, from critical flight surfaces to lights and landing gear. There is still some resistance on the pitch axis due to mechanical drag inside the yoke mechanism. To have bit better balancing of pitch and roll axis I replaced the roll bungee with a much weaker rubber band. Over on the MS Forums, about every 4th post is about somebody trying to get the honeycomb to work the way it should. At their price, I doubt that it is the most used hardware, but sure does raise a lot of issues. I want a yoke, but I am afraid of the price vs. performance issues. Why you can trust Windows Central Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test. Should I wait for the new version of the honeycomb alpha? It has spring loaded key ignition, new form factor, xbox compatibility. I'm not sure if I should go for the original alpha or wait for the xtc model. What do you guys think?

For something like that you’re probably going to go searching for a machine shop that will do small one-off jobs. Could get pricey unless you know someone who can do you a favour. Take note of the position of the linear potentiometer I’ve circled above. That’s the neutral position for the pitch. They would probably be the least expensive shop to hire for the job. Just don’t pressure them with a deadline, (give them a lot of time to do the job in). That way, they can do it between the normal machine setups that usually work with. I use the NgxU 737 and all works, however if i try in the ngxu BBJ expansion i get the following errors:

Microsoft Flight Simulator's expansion to consoles has spawned new Xbox-compatible accessories, including the all-inclusive VelocityOne Flight system from Turtle Beach. While better known for gaming headsets, the manufacturer recently debuted its first Flight Simulator-ready accessory, primed for Xbox consoles and Windows PCs. unfortunately I didn't have the BBJ expansion while creating the profiles, so I cannot really comment on what might be causing this. Just to be sure: you are talking only the Alpha Yoke, not in conjunction with the Bravo Throttle right? and light switches, as well as a 5-position ignition switch. The left and right handles feature one I will try to walk you through the process to get the PMDG profiles working, using the Yoke as an example: But I expect it to be better versus the common wrong behaviour of sim pilots of controlling the elevator via trim inputs instead of yoke movements. Trim should be only used to cancel the forces on the yoke, not for actually controlling the plane. Not all pots are created equal. Some will last many years. I've got a pro-grade radio audio board with pots that was made in the 70s and used daily at a radio station until the late 90s and the pots still work perfectly. Others, like the pot on the twist axis of my Thrustmaster, won't even make it 9 months. AFAIK Honeycomb is using quality pots (though probably not the quality you found on old professional broadcast equipment), but as long as a better option is close to market I'll wait.
