About this deal

Bring your entertainment system to life with the Bestisan Soundbar, which features noise-free sound and boosted bass for an earth-shattering listening experience. This 40 inch speaker is perfect for maximizing your home theater performance by providing flawlessly clean audio quality to your Hitachi TV. Generall quite good - the ARC works well and can switch between being a soundbar hub and a tv hub with remote and autoswitch (you dont have to have all usb in TV or all usb in soundbar) When utilizing HDMI ARC to connect to your Hitachi Roku TV remote, you’ll want to head to TV settings > Audio > Audio Preferences. Then, set the ‘Audio Mode’ to ‘Auto (DTS)’ to connect to your soundbar automatically. Also, select ‘Auto-detect’ in the S/PDIF and ARC settings. I have just set up a Hisense 50 inch tv (Roku) made in 2020 and am attempting to set up a Hitachi sound bar model -axs240btu

This handy feature allows you to link HDMI-compatible devices together. For example, you can connect your Blu-ray player or console to the soundbar, so only one cable needs to connect to your TV, working as both input and output. Another great feature of this product includes its ability to be wired with HDMI-ARC connection so that you can control volume and on/off through your universal remote if desired. Whether you’re watching the latest release on your 4K Ultra HD TV or listening to music from CD quality audio, it does not disappoint. Pairing was simple although you do need to be comfortable with your TV's settings and how to navigate them. Although I used the ARC connection as it was most convenient for me, with the appropriate cable, one can alternatively use an optical/coaxial connection. In addition the instruction manual shows how the soundbar can be used as a hub for the connection of a set top box or DVD player etc. This is more common when you’re watching TV using a set-top box such as a Sky or Freeview box. Even if your set-top box is connected to your TV and your TV to your soundbar, you may find the audio only gets to your TV's speakers.

If you've tried our advice but still have a soundbar that's not functioning properly, it might be time to invest in a new one. Hisense TVs can also control your soundbar through the HDMI ARC connection. After connecting the two with an HDMI-certified High-Speed 2.0 cable go to your TV Settings > Sound > Speakers > ARC. This turns off your TV speaker and enables HDMI ARC. If you don’t have that information to hand, use trial and error to find an output format that works. In addition, you'll need to go into your set-top box’s audio settings to ensure that sound is routed through your soundbar instead of to your TV. Change the settings to the audio connector you have chosen to connect to the soundbar, for instance optical or 3.5mm aux.

Plug a Premium High Speed (18Gb/s) cable between the TV HDMI 2 input (marked ARC) and a soundbar HDMI output. In the soundbar make sure HDMI-CEC is ON. Not sure if the soundbars have ARC as a seperate setting but I suspect yes. Find that and set ARC to ON. The Beam 2’s Achilles heel is that it has only one HDMI port and requires a TV with an eARC HDMI port to make use of Atmos. So those with older TVs will probably want to avoid it, but if you do own a TV with eARC, you will struggle to find a better-sounding standalone soundbar.Practically every soundbar comes with one form of digital input, be it digital coaxial or digital optical. TVs usually have one or both of these outputs, so you’ll be able to hook yours up to your soundbar without any issue.

Sony TVs can be connected to a soundbar through the HDMI ARC connection, an optical digital audio cable only, or with both an HDMI and optical digital audio cable. All of the setups are the same as the instructions listed above. When switching the audio output setting, you’ll select ‘Audio System’ for all setups. If your TV and soundbar have both options, you may be wondering which one you should be using. If so, there’s some more discussion about that in another one of our articles. Once you’ve decided which on to use, keep working through the directions below. Big issue is when bass levels are low the bass box keeps switching in and out with a weird fluttering - it sounds really bad and tbh makes the sysytem pretty useless as it id supposed to improve sound. With a digital optical connection to the soundbar from your Samsung TV, hold the left direction on the Samsung TV remote’s direction pad to activate or deactivate Auto Power Link, which only works with an optical connection. Be sure to also change the TV’s audio output settings, so the soundbar will be controlled by your TV remote.

Like any other speaker system, soundbars benefit from a bit of extra time and care when you first set them up. Use our easy-to-follow guide to find out how you can get the best-quality audio from yours. One complaint you might see frequently, even on top-end soundbars, is that they don’t sound any better than the TV they’re supposed to be connected to.
