Terminator 2: Judgment Day – 30th Anniversary Edition Steelbook (US Best Buy-exclusive) – 11/23/21 – THIS IS NOT REMASTERED (excessive DNR confirmed) – N4K, XAnd Dennis has turned in his thoughts on Gordon Hessler’s The Oblong Box (1969), an American International Pictures film on Blu-ray from Kino Lorber Studio Classics. The Infinity Saga Collector's Edition (MCU 23-Film Box Set) (US Best Buy exclusive/UK) – 11/15/19 – DA Audio is fairly good with some subtle use of the rear speakers - nothing over the top. The sound is still a little thin though, but I prefer this to a bombastic remaster with all subtilty lost. Stephen has taken a look at The Films of Doris Wishman: The Twilight Years on Blu-ray from AGFA, Something Weird, and Vinegar Syndrome, a three-disc set that includes seven exploitation films that Wishman directed between 1970 and 1977.

Classic Hollywood 5-Film 4K Collection (1930s–1960s) (includes The Wizard of Oz, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Singin' in the Rain & Rebel Without a Cause) (US/ UK) – TBA 4/4/23 (UK date 4/3) - N4K Compare all the previous Blu-ray releases of Highlander to this new collector’s edition and you’ll be pleased to see that this release compiles previous features and adds four new featurettes, including an hour-long documentary comprised of interviews with cast and crew. The Immortal Attraction of Highlander is that hour-long doc and has a treasure trove of facts of and opinions on the film, in particular Clancy Brown shows up energetic and self-effacing when talking about his work, adding to the sheer joy that this genre classic has clearly brought out of people since its theatrical release. It’s a really pleasing documentary and Mulcahy is still so passionate about the film, which comes across clear as day here. For fans of the film, I think you’ll be really pleased with this feature.

I'd liked them removed -from a 4K scan- because I remember one of the producers at the time saying they didn't have the time to finish the post production. The wires looked terrible in the cinema and they still look terrible last I looked. So bad in fact they look like they're meant to be there.
