Dang, I looooove this author! I was incredibly happy reading her latest two books, but gosh, this may be the best of the three. Now on to the next Katherine Center book I can get my hands on.P.S. I just listened to the audiobook of this and really enjoyed it! I really missed Jake- what a "Dudester" as Duncan would say! A couple years ago I read Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail and really enjoyed the topic. After I was finished with the book I actually wanted to hike the PCT. Which is quite ironic because I hate hiking. But I REALLY enjoyed the hiking and survival part of the story. And while reading Happiness for Beginners I felt the same way again. It was probably my favorite part of the story. Jake is best friends with Helen’s younger brother Duncan. For as long as he could remember he’s had a crush on one woman. That woman is Helen. The fact that he’s ten years younger has never bothered him in the least. Needing to prove something to himself, Jake, too has enrolled in the same survival course as Helen.
