About this deal

your camera is not set to silent and most importantly Manual shutter only is selected in the shooting menu. I had mine set to manual and electronic and no flash worked. For example, if the number of flashes is 10 and the firing frequency is 5 Hz, the shutter speed should be at least 2 seconds. To avoid overheating and deteriorating the flash head, do not use stroboscopic flash more than 10 times in succession. After 10 times, allow the camera flash to rest for at least 15 minutes. If you try to use the stroboscopic flash more than 10 times in succession, the firing might stop automatically to protect the flash head. If this happens, allow at least 15 minutes' rest for the camera flash. Press the

button to enter C.Fn ID. Press the button to choose OFF channel expansion shutdown, and choose any figure from 01 to 99. TTL: Fully Automatic Wireless Flash Shooting Autoflash Shooting with One Slave Unit Provided multiple functions, include manual flash, multi flash, HSS (up to 1/8000s), second curtain sync, FEC, etc. Please make sure that whether the flash has finished its recycle or caught up with the continuous shooting speed or not(the flash ready indicator is lighten) and the flash is not under the state of over-heat protection or other abnormal situation.

Fujifilm EF-42 (TTL): This mid-sized flash unit runs on 4 AA sized batteries. It doesn’t represent great value for money but it does have the Fujifilm logo on the front, so that will reassure some users. Press the SET Button and the flash exposure compensation amount will be highlighted on the LCD panel. With stroboscopic flash, a rapid series of flashes is fired. It can be used to capture a multiple images of a moving subject in a single photograph.http://www.nissindigital.com/2017/03/high-speed-synchronization-function-upgrade-for-fujifilm-type-nissin-flashes-and-commanders-in-mid-may.html By pointing the flash head toward a wall or ceiling, the flash will bounce off the surface before illuminating the subject. This can soften shadows behind the subject for a more natural-looking shot. This is called bounce flash. Recharge time is slower than I’m used to with bigger flashes, around 2 seconds for full power. Again, because it’s smaller, you will be shooting at full power a little more regularly, particularly if you are bouncing it. The v350 needs a battery gauge as you are not likely to be carrying a spare propitiatory battery with you, so the gauge is there to hopefully prevent you getting caught out. With the TT350 you can judge the length of your shoot in advance and so adjust your battery requirements - by bagging another 2 (or 4) AA batteries with you.

With the catchlight panel, you can create a catchlight in the subject's eyes to add life to the facial expression. Godox TT350F supports High Speed Sync up to 1/8000s as well as full FEC, front and rear curtain sync, and a guide number of 36 (ISO 100). Also it has excellent heat dissipation technology to help prevent any issues with overheating. The Godox TT350F comes in at only 0.75 pounds of total weight making it pretty light considering how cheap it is as well as how robust it is. On top of this, the flash unit is only 6.6 x 3.5 x 2.7 inches making it very small considering the massive amount of featured available, as well as its excellent performance too. This allows you to add it to your bag of camera accessories without having to take up much space making your life easier. For the small Godox flashes, I would get the TT350 over the V350, even if they were the same price, for the simplicity of Eneloops (no special chargers, etc). Perfect for travel. This is not yet the case with Fuji, it often misses a trigger. And at first, you might think that the flashes have long recycle times, but this is not the case with my Sony system either. So what is going on here? I would guess that we need a new firmware upgrade before the system will be suited for professional use. Conclusion For me I sold my Nissan (i60a and Air 1) units because you had to send them in for firmware units. Don’t have to do this with my Godox units (TT685 Flash and XPro-F Trigger) as I can do this from my PC. Nissin slowly starting to enable firmware upgrades on newer units.

In this user manual, "master unit" refers to the camera flash on a camera and "slave unit" will be controlled by the master unit.

As a master unit, TT350F can control the following slave unit models: AD600, AD600M, AD360II-C, AD360II-N, AD200. This table only lists the tested camera models, not all Fuji cameras. For the compatibility of other camera models, a self-test is recommended. This describes wireless (multiple shooting) using manual flash. You can shoot with a different flash output setting for each slave unit (firing group). Set all parameters on the master unit. TT350 is equipped with three modes of operation. The first of them (TTL) allows you to shoot with the use of automatic selection of flash light power and work with all the automatic and semi-automatic modes available in cameras. The second option is manual mode with S1 and S2 mode selection. The third mode - strobe (Multi) is great for taking effective photos at longer exposure times. Flash gun Godox TT350 offers the ability to sync flash with ultra-fast shutter speeds up to 1 / 8000s ( HSS ). This option is especially appreciated by people who want to use the lamp during outdoor sessions, where very often you have to face intense ambient light. For the small Godox flashes, I would get the TT350 over the V350, even if they were the same price, for the simplicity of Eneloops (no special chargers, etc).

Godox TT350F is fully compatible with Fujifilm’s through-the-lens (TTL) metering for automatic exposure control and supports HSS. TTL flash metering greatly simplifies the process of using off-camera flashes, especially when multiple units are involved, while high-speed sync enables the use of flash at shutter speeds up to 1/8,000 second. Godox TT350F is without a doubt one of, if not the best budget-friendly flash for Fuji cameras on the market right now.

Set both flashes to the same channel and group. This allows them to automatically match power when you make a change. Information displayed includes current mode, power, groups, channels, zoom, and under/over exposure when in TTL mode. It is easy to see what your settings are at a glance. HSS – You won’t be doing any overpowering of the sun, let’s be clear about that. It’s not that the speedlight is bad, it’s the reality of the level of flash power required to overpower the sun. With high-speed sync, and a built-in 2.4GHz radio system, the compact Godox TT350 Thinklite TTL Flash is an excellent everyday companion for your camera. With a lightweight design and guide number of 118′ at ISO 100 and 105mm, the TT350S is useful for both on-camera and off-camera operation. Users can also use it as an optical slave in addition to use as a radio TTL master/slave unit. It is versatile as well with the ability to tilt from -7 to 90° and rotate 270°. I simply cannot recommend this flash for any type of major professional work though. There’s some questionable build quality issues, the misfiring can be frustrating, and getting through the menus is a pain. As much as we may like to keep things on the small side with our Mirrorless cameras, when it comes to flashes I would recommend going with something larger if you plan on using a flash often, and for critical work. The Godox Thinklike TT685 would be much better despite its size in comparison to your camera.
