LEGO has released a variety of Pixar sets, although certain films have been overlooked. Coco is a prime example, but has inspired two minifigures in this series, the first of whom is Ernesto de la Cruz. The famed musician is richly dressed in white, with intricate metallic silver patterns around the brim of his hat, continuing onto his torso, arms and legs. This minifigure accordingly includes a painted skull on his face, to avoid alarming other residents of the afterlife! The character's cheerful expression looks brilliant and I love the alternative face too, which seemingly represents Miguel's grito, a tuneful yell common in Mexican music. I don't have anything nice to say about Coco, though. It was fine, but not hugely exciting. Bizzare. Whereas the previous Collectable Minifigure included only two arms, this version features four! These unusual arms were designed for Rio Durant in 75219 Imperial AT-Hauler, but are equally suited to Stitch. However, the character wields two yellow plasma blasters, instead of his normal armament of four. This accessory was introduced in 8683 Collectable Minifigures Series 1, but has not appeared in yellow before. Facilier's cane and a printed 1x2 tile are provided, the latter representing a tarot card. Similar to the minifigure patrons on Tiana's poster, the hands on the card are actually those of minifigures, which looks great. Unfortunately, the villain's magical talisman is omitted, which is odd because a printed 1x1 round tile would have sufficed.

The minifigure comes equipped with a lovely magenta umbrella, again corresponding with the onscreen character. This is a new colour for the umbrella element and is the nearest available match to the burgundy accessory featured in the movie, but its shade is inescapably imperfect. Like many Disney Princesses, Aurora is friendly with a number of forest animals. These include an owl, who accompanies the princess' minifigure here. While the same element has appeared several times, the predominant dark tan colour and printed details are unique. Ideally, the owl's head would be slightly darker, but that would probably entail dual-moulding. The flower affixed to the gown would have been ideal for a darker shade of green, although the minifigures looks splendid without it. I love the ornamental stars and Tiana's bright light yellow gloves, while her unique hair element captures wonderful detail. There is a noticeable colour difference between the medium brown of Tiana's head or arms and the torso printing though, sadly.
