I was wondering if I could get some clarity as to what kind of connector/adaptor/fitting I could get to connect what looks like a 22mm kitchen tap to what I believe is a 3/4" inlet? To add a second waste (washing machine) to the existing one (sink), a spigot connection is typically required which will mean that the pipework originally taking one incoming pipe is now able to take two. How to connect a washing machine waste pipe Here are a couple of examples, but there is a range depending what fits best in your situation. Loose or crooked connections are very prone to leaks. Because it's secure, a screw on connector to isolating valve so no chance of it poping off & flooding your kitchen. Washing machines require three different types of connection to function. These are electrical, water and waste. If your washing machine is located near your sink, it can be a wise choice to connect the washer to your sink waste.

as for the tap aerator, the picture suggests there is a threaded nipple that you screw into the tap spout, and you would screw the appliance hose nut onto that (discard the garden hose connector). Our repair parts include filter washers, washing machine conversion kits, service kits, dishwashing adaptors and also the hammer relief valve which reduces water hammer caused by vibrating or shuddering pipes. Many people are unsure how to connect a washing machine waste pipe to a sink, but it actually isn’t too difficult. Plus, you get the added benefit of the grey water from your washer helping to eliminate grease and debris from your sink waste pipe. Yes, you still can if you buy from America. I thought it might be some safety reason for it. Can't do anything these days with all the regulations. It is preferable to fit a new washer valve to the cold water pipe for the dwr, rather than try to join on. This, and the waste connector, are minor plumbing jobs. IMO it is preferable to have a plumber do the plumbing rather than rely on a deliveryman from the appliance shop who may have had minimal training. With a tabletop dwr you can also flop the waste hose into the sink, though you must remember to take the plug out and to position the hose so it can't slip out.

If you do reach the point where you are not sure how to progress, hiring a washing machine or dishwasher repair tradesperson is usually the best option. It is not possible to add a hose to a mixer tap as it is not allowed due to the chances of 'cross contamination' from cold to hot. You may need to unscrew the hose from the U-bend under the sink, remembering that this is likely to disconnect your sink waste temporarily too. Consider putting the plug hole stopper in to prevent people from using the sink in the meantime. Need help finding a qualified trade plumber in your local area? I know that planning to have a table top dishwasher plumbed professionally might be a preferable option but I was hoping to avoid having to seek landlord permission to cut through the work surface if possible. By Karen - U.K. - 04 March 2017You could get an extra-long washer fill hose if you can find a reasonably neat route for it, for example threaded up over or beside the washing machine. Changing a fill hose is not very difficult. Herein lies the problem, I don't have room for a full size or even a slimline. It will have to be a table top which I can't plumb into the main water supply. The reason for not being able to plumb in with the washing machine is that I can't make holes in the counter top as the property is rented and alterations like this are not allowed. I can't remove cupboards either etc. So this leaves me with the only option of gettting an adapter for the sink tap, but I have no idea what to get! The tap is a single mixer tap and the end of the tap is at a 90 degree angle. I think I maybe able to remove the internal aerator (sp?) but not entirely convinced - there is nothing on the outside of the tap which is removable.

Wondering how to connect a dishwasher and washing machine to one waste pipe? There are two main ways in which this can be done:I need it to plumb my Currys compact dishwasher inlet hose (3/4") directly into the kitchen tap on the sink. I have tried a straight copper connector 15mm x 3.4" from Screwfix but it was slightly too big for my tap. Read on to discover useful tips with sections focusing on how to connect a washing machine waste pipe and how to extend a washing machine drain hose. Connection types for dishwashers and washing machines It’s not surprising that running waste from your dishwasher and washing machine in the same waste pipe can mean less unsightly pipes leaving your property. This is especially important if they exit via a wall before going into the ground, and can help to eliminate an additional source of leaks should there be an issue at any point. Also, as with all combined drainage systems, cleaner water can help clear the drains of any dirty water. In this case, the ‘grey water’ from your washing machine will help flush out any greases and fats that find their way into your dishwasher waste.
