There’s no doubt that a 1440p monitor is the best choice for most people, whether they intend to work or play on it. WQHD or QHD monitors are getting cheaper by the minute, and if you’re hoping to do some gaming, they – unlike 4K and ultrawide displays – don’t require an extraordinarily powerful GPU to make the most of them. If you're looking for the best 24-inch monitor and you need something simple that won't cost much, there are plenty of options that you can get from different retailers, but most don't offer anything special. If you want decent performance, consider something like the ASUS VG246H. It doesn't have many gaming features like the ViewSonic XG2431, as it's limited to a 75Hz refresh rate, but it's at least good for office work. The Acer Predator X25 bmiiprzx is a G-SYNC gaming monitor that costs much less than the Dell Alienware AW2524H but also has a lower 360Hz refresh rate. Still, it's a good choice if you don't need the highest-end gaming monitor. Ports: We require that 24-inch monitors have a USB-C port with at least 65 W of charging power, as well as an HDMI port. Other ports like a USB hub are a nice plus, especially for laptop users.Until then, if HDR matters to you, we recommend buying monitors only with an HDR 600 rating or above to give you an experience comparable to that of a modern HDR-rated TV.
