About this deal

In all, the positives on this side of the box drastically outweigh the negatives. The leggy dreadnought, the duplicate Infernus Squad sprues, and the push-fit models (which won’t be a criticism for some people who aren’t fans of the building process) are tiny niggles that are easily forgotten amidst the spew of exciting, detailed, and unique miniatures. You can find Leviathan and the latest Warhammer 40k releases at our partner stores Wayland Games, Element Games These are models that Tyranid fans will be over the moon about. Their beloved Termagants have made it into the 2020s, and look absolutely great for doing so. Neurogaunts and Barbgaunts These valiant defenders stand firm, resolute in their battle against the relentless onslaught unleashed by Hive Fleet Leviathan. Among the horrors they face are a ferocious Winged Tyranid Prime, a mind-altering Neurotyrant accompanied by its two Neuroloid minions, three agile Von Ryan's Leapers, a formidable Psychophage, a swarm consisting of 20 Termagants and two Ripper Swarms, 11 deadly Neurogaunts, five Barbgaunts, and a fearsome reimagining of the iconic Screamer-Killer.

That does bring us to our only gripe about this box, which we’ll get out of the way up-front – no Datasheets. We assume this is because they’re going to be made available online (in fact, they may even be available as you’re reading this) but part of the fun of opening up a box like this is being able to slam the contents onto the table and start getting games in. We assume this is intended to prevent a repeat of what happened with Eradicators in 9th Edition, where the datasheet in the box was missing some limitations that were added in the codex, making them absurdly good early on, but we think that could have been avoided by including some simplified datasheets in the box that were explicitly just for games with the contents only. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does feel odd in comparison to the Age of Sigmar Dominion box. The Rules The next of the miniatures now clad in Terminator armour is the new Librarian. Powered up and harnessing the powers of The Warp, this fellow might be the only way to break the synaptic control of the Tyranids over their ravening hordes. Predisposition aside, the Biologis takes everything great about the original Primaris Apothecary and encases it in super-heavy armour. We arrive at the miniatures. With no fewer than 72 in the box – split 25 Space Marines and 47 Tyranids – there’s an absolute mountain of stuff to get through here. It can be a bit intimidating at first, particularly for newcomers, so we’ve put together our popular coloured sprue pictures for those of you who use them. One big thing to remember is that these models will all be East To Build (ETB) or Push Fit, which could affect the value. However, with the Indomitus box, some models came out later with multi-part kits, while others have remained ETB to this day (like the Necron Warriors or SM Outriders.) The miniature also looks incredibly awesome and I absolutely love the utter terror that this radiates. Imagine seeing this seething mass of pulsing brains and tentacles hovering towards you across the battlefield. I like that it comes with a pair of "Wi-Fi boosters" as well!

The Winged Tyranid Prime is an evolution of the Tyranid Warrior biomorph, a powerful melee monster and a command lynchpin for the Hive Fleet’s ground forces. The Winged Tyranid Prime was the final model from the starter set GW revealed before Warhammer Fest. Warhammer 40K: Leviathan is the launch box for the new 10th edition of Warhammer 40K, the biggest Warhammer release in history! The Neurotyrant has all the look of a model that should be difficult to build, but as you’ll be able to see from a cursory glace at the sprue above, this isn’t true. It has a few smaller parts, such as its forelimbs (or whatever they are), but on the whole, this is still a very easy to assemble mini. As for the termagant’s sprue-mate, Rippers are similarly faithfully updated versions of the original models. You might find yourself wanting to cut some of the basing bits that they are attached to out, as they seem like they would get repetitive. The new set is going to be the place to get your hands on the Rulebook alongside a host of new miniatures for both the Space Marines and Tyranids of Warhammer 40,000. When the reveals dropped, I was immediately taken by the new Tyranid miniatures. I've always flirted with the idea of collecting an army of deadly, ravening aliens and this boxed set might just push me over the edge. New Tyranid Miniatures

Tyranids are a voracious alien swarm invading the galaxy from beyond the void. Guided by the Hive Mind, they have one terrible purpose – to devour every last shred of biomass, reconstituting it into even more powerful biomorphs and repeating the nightmarish cycle anew on the next world in their path. Winged Tyranid Prime Leading the way for the Tyranids is the Winged Tyranid Prime which is going to be swooping across the battlefield looking to scythe you into little pieces. Those wings are going to allow it to get right into the heart of the action, avoiding the gunfire from your opponent with ease. With so many details – such as the intricate grooves on his armour and all the aforementioned runes and wizard-y bits, this guy will be a real delight for painters – a challenge, sure, but get this one right and he’ll look spectacular. Apothecary Biologis, Lieutenant in Phobos Armour and Sternguard Veteran Squad The most interesting Warhammer 40k Leviathan Box Unit Datasheets Space Marines The Space Marine Captain in Terminator Armour Soggy: These are great ETB kits with just enough details to mark them as veterans before it gets boring.
