About this deal

To be honest, Mrs. Wilberton is not my favorite person on the planet of Earth. Unfortunately, I am from Earth and she is my teacher. As the title suggests, the endearing young narrator of Child's (Addy the Baddy) refreshing tale knows what she wants, but hasn't quite worked out the details. With droll one-liners, members of her Continue reading » Child's (the Clarice Bean books) droll tale introduces the ""frightfully, frightfully"" rich Mr. and Mrs. Bobton-Trent, who dine out nearly every night and hobnob with ""simply everyone who was Continue reading » Her book I Will Not Ever Never Eat A Tomato won the 2000 Kate Greenaway Medal. For the 50th anniversary of the Medal (1955–2005), a panel named it one of the top ten winning works, which comprised the shortlist for a public vote for the nation's favourite. It finished third in the public vote from that shortlist.

This book is really full of imagination. The writings are easy, and unique - accompanied by illustrations and different fonts. Bir sonraki yorumum da işte Başı Dertte ile ilgili...I liked the way that Clarice was trying to solve the mystery that was going on at home and at school. My favourite character in this story was Clarice Bean because she turned out to be really good at solving mysteries. I recommend it to people who like detectives and mysteries. I have to say though, I can see why the girls love this series. It's well written, funny and full of clever little asides about family and school and relationships. Personally, I found the Ruby Redfort interludes like a less realistic Alex Rider, but I'm not nine years old. The writing made me smile several times and actively giggle once so I would imagine the girls would be in fits of giggles. Clarice Bean and her best friend Betty Moody go to school together, they are doing a book report about Ruby Redfort, a girl detective. I thought it was funny because she had a good sense of humour and got very over exited. Also with her obsession with Ruby Redford I was able to read parts of that book to. The role of Children's Laureate is awarded every two years to an author or illustrator of children’s books to “celebrate outstanding achievement in their field and recognise the important contribution children’s literature makes to cultural life”. Child’s tenure will run until June 2019, which will mark 20 years since the post was inaurgurated by Quentin Blake and since Child published her first book.
