It is the plastic cover plate at the bottom of the bar on which the shower is mounted - concealing the screws fixing it to the wall. (A twin of the one at the top of the bar). Is that bar a common item for all Triton showers?

Installation was simple although the 90degree fitting was tight and leaked until I realised you had to push very hard to get it on fully.
