So I just approach it from the idea that I'm going to try to honor it by doing it with my own soul or viewing it with my own sense of yearning that I think Jodo and Mœbius approached the original with. And that means obviously taking some liberties with the story and doing something that's different from the original, but also something that I think sits adjacent to the original universe. Deepo, Difool's loyal and good-hearted "concrete seagull"; generally smarter and more resourceful than John himself.
