Funny you mention the Finn. I was just thinking about a wee man this morning and I can't remember his name. This would have been the anniversary of seeing him at the Faughan every year. He fished the Finn hard till it closed on the 15th September, then he'd appear at the Faughan for the rest of the season. A damned good angler he was too and really nice chap. He must have had some tally of Salmon at the end of every season.

I hope I'm wrong but with fewer anglers must come fewer salmon because you have to put the time in but not many live on the bank in the season like I tend to do.
