Also, it seemed odd that an 8 year old would be hiding behind her aunt's legs shyly and saying "I'm not little". As an aunt myself, that was such a 3-5 year old thing. One Moment Please released at just the right time when I needed to escape into a book that made me laugh while also making me feel and gave me the sweetest happily ever after. I mean what do you care if she’s been sitting in the hospital cafeteria for weeks working on her thesis?

She is one of my favorite authors for so many reasons and One Moment Please did not disappoint (especially since I’m not a huge fan of the surprise pregnancy trope!). What I loved most was her honestly and her ability to share what she needed. Plus, she has the best friends in the world in Dean and Kate who were just great in this book. Amy Daws writes about people with flaws that you want as best friends. People who know the real you and love you anyway. I haven't bought so many books in a long time. Since discovering this author last month, I've been hooked on her stories. Each book is better than the last. Her team have done a phenomenal job!Of course Daw wouldn’t give us just a simple (and boring) reason like the condom broke or they forgot to use protection. Most 8 year old girls start acting like pre-pre-teens thanks to socialization at school, paydates with friends and just general growing up. Even if shy, the hiding behind people stage and saying "I'm not widdle, I'm a big girl" is pretty much over.

There's truth in fiction, but sometimes you have to suspend disbelief. One Moment Please was a great love story of loss, anguish, jealousy, attraction, and a slew of other emotions. Amy Daws delivers again with this fantastic enemies to lovers romance that hit all the sweet spots! MD5 of a better version of this file (if applicable).
