This all started in this thread and I do not want to jump to conclusions. Just looking for more data. So far it is intriguing and multiple people with broken straps have reported that they do not have a serial number under their strap or box. Mine has been fine since launch and I have been using it for a couple hours daily. I have the SN under both the strap and box. Just looking to help out the community with more information! Thanks!
