About this deal

A few weeks after birth his family moved from London to Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset. This is where he spent the better part of his early life. Mr Archer attended Wellington School in Somerset from the year 1951. He successfully concluded his O-levels studies with focus on History, Art and English literature. Thereafter, he got a variety of jobs where he served in different capacities. At two different schools, he worked as a physical education teacher where he focused on training students in a number of sports including fencing. At some point he also underwent training with the police and army. Later on, Jeffrey Archer furthered his education to be qualified as a teacher.

Combat breaks out; Bernie is stabbed and dies. Danny is blamed for his homicide in a well-orchestrated plot by Spencer and his friends: a famous actor, an aristocrat, and a younger property agent. 5] A Matter of Honour (1986) Added to this, they are also dealing with the fallout of the previous novel with Miles Faulkner and Booth Watson (I don't want to spoil too much here for people who haven't read the previous novels). EXCERPT: An outrider from the Special Forces Group swept into Scotland Yard, closely followed by a green Jaguar and an unmarked Land Rover, while two police motorcycles brought up the rear, completing the royal convoy. Intertwined with this is the story of Miles Faulkner, William's arch nemesis, and his fallout with his crook of a counsel Booth Watson. You also see Christina and Beth make peace, sort of. James Buchanan makes a cameo too. This seemed to satisfy Artemisia, who smiled as her father led the Met’s royal guest into the building.Jeffrey Archer, also known as Jeffrey Howard Archer, Baron Archer of Weston – super – Mare was born on April 15 th, 1940, in Holloway in City of London Maternity Hospital, London, England. His family moved to Somerset two weeks after birth, settling in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. Omg reading his books is the best and work gets in the way of them sometimes, I always need to really think about the time I have so I don’t get to an exciting bit but that never works. Love them and really enjoy that you can get I to the book yourself Reply His first novel was written when he was thirty four years of age. Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less was first published in the US and later in Britain by Deborah Owen, a literary agent. This book turned to be the silver lining in the cloud when at the brink of bankruptcy, Jeffrey Archer was able to make quite a fortune from sales. Between the early 80s and 90s this novel went on to be made into both TV and radio adaptations which were aired in BBC television and Radio 4 respectively. Princess Diana has a soft spot for a so called playboy who Ross gets the measure of and cannot hide his distaste for him, he vocalises his concerns and nothing is done as a suspicion is not evidence. When Ross’s fears are realised not even he could have predicted the scale of what is taking place, will he be powerless to do anything?…

London 1988, and the nation has fallen under the spell of ‘the peoples princess’ HRH Diana, Princess of Wales! Then I’ll have another chance to meet your daughter,’ said the Princess, ‘because if I remember correctly, I’m opening the Fitzmolean’s Frans Hals exhibition next year. I haven’t fainted yet,’ said the Princess as they moved on to the next cabinet, which contained a pair of antique binoculars. ‘What’s so special about them?’ she asked.Despite committing countless vicious crimes over many years, including murder, on more than one occasion, they proved almost impossible to charge, let alone convict, because no one was willing to come forward and testify against them, being too frightened of the consequences.’ It’s 1988 and Britain is in the middle of their love affair with Diana, the People’s Princess. While many in the Royal Family prefer to keep a low profile, Diana attracts the flashbulb like none before her. This nothing new, but something is on the horizon, lowing the tabloids to feast on all the crumbs tossed their way. During this period he also began his political career. Between 1967 and 1970, he served as a Councillor in the Greater London Council. He went on to become Member of Parliament for the constituency of Louth under the Conservative Party. He had an eventful political career amidst allegations of fraud and much apprehension at his ability to be a leader.

They were a gift from a particularly unpleasant individual to his fiancée a few days after she had jilted him. When she held them up to her eyes and adjusted the focus, two nails shot out and blinded her. At his trial the accused was asked by prosecuting counsel why he’d done such an evil thing, and he simply replied, “I didn’t want her to look at another man ever again.”’ It can’t be worse than four days at Ascot,’ replied the Princess, ‘when I regularly want to faint.’This is the second book I've read - and thoroughly enjoyed - in this series (this is the fifth), and the same thing happened both times: I found them difficult to "get into" for the first several chapters. They're very well written, so it must be that I'm just not used to the style (and the number of characters to keep straight). But when the lightbulb of understanding finally turns on, from that point in both books I didn't want to put them down. THE UNPUTDOWNABLE THRILLER FROM THE BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE CLIFTON CHRONICLES – PERFECT FOR FANS OF KEN FOLLET, JOHN GRISHAM and DANIEL SILVA I’d better make sure I’m wearing at least a coronet if I’m not to be told off again,’ she added as the lift doors opened on the first floor.

Many thanks to Harper 360/HarperCollins for the opportunity to read Next in Line in advance of its publication. Great stories have in them an essence of being timeless. They capture the important moments of life vividly and immortalize them. Such are the stories that take the reader through time-travel into the past or the future. The reader is able to re-live the story in his mind simply because a book has captured the life out of the story. Books like these could only be written by a sterling author. Jeffrey Archer is one such author manifesting literary greatness in himself. Being such a celebrated author, he has come to woo readers with his flair for writing novels and short stories. Biography of Jeffrey Archer

They were rescued by the museum’s curator, who stepped forward and said, ‘Gwynne Evans and Peter Allen, ma’am, were hanged for the murder of John Alan West on the thirteenth of August, 1964. The following year, a private member’s bill to abolish hanging became law. However, it may interest you to know, ma’am, you can still be hanged for treason, or piracy with violence.’ As I said at the start this is my second read in the series and both have been hugely enjoyable, so much so that I am off to hunt out the missing books in the series. Very excited for the next book in this series. If you haven't read any or many of Archers' books, start at the beginning of the series, so you don't miss out. so many treats in store for you. The Lady Victoria told me that the Princess’s close protection officer is retiring at the end of the year, and they haven’t found a replacement yet. So, I was hoping you might put in a good word for me.’
