To start the styling process, grab a dime-sized dollop of hair paste. Then, start activating and warming it up by rubbing it in between the palms of your hands; there should be no clumps. If further paste is required, you can add more later. You don’t want to start off with too much product, as this will potentially ruin the desired result.

I haven’t tried the home-made texture paste yet but I used your idea of fine gold and bronze glitter on top of regular paste with a stencilled script image and it worked brilliantly so thanks for that. When used in conjunction with acrylic colours, they broaden working properties and expand creative possibilities. Unlike gels, pastes are opaque because they contain Marble Dust or other fillers that create a white or clay-tone finish with a variety of textures and properties.
