About this deal

i was confused throughout the whole book as if i missed a book in between this and kotc. The so called villain changed every chapter, emilia’s personality as well. At the end of Cursed, Emilia had just found out that her twin sister Vittoria, who she’d long thought murdered, was still alive. And not only was she alive, but she was set on a path of destruction that threatened all Emilia held dear. When Feared begins, Emilia is reeling from the discovery but she’s on the cusp of completing her marriage to the seductive Prince of Wrath (cue the sizzles) and Vittoria seems hell bent on ruining the union. When a high-ranking member of House Greed is assassinated, damning evidence points to Emilia’s twin as the murderer. But the circumstances are suspicious and Emilia, whilst hurt and betrayed by her sister, will do anything to get to the bottom of the accusations, for good or bad. the first book was like 70% plot and 30% romance. the second book was 70% romance and 30% plot. and now this book, it’s 90% romance and 10% plot. i literally don’t even know what’s going on BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLOT. it’s a miracle if there isn’t a smut scene every three chapters. The author had not much to offer in this book. I could've blamed it on my reading slump but I'm actually out of it so it's definitely the book. It seems like there's going to be a spin off series, I'm not sure if I'll read it. Most likely won't, but we'll see.

now that Emilia is the bad bitch that she is. all that is left is for her to get her happy ever after with Wrath. but these bitches are constantly being thrown curve balls that at one point i threw this book to the moon. Y’all think Wrath is the only one known for his angry? wait until you read about, Emilia, this baddie’s fury. ❤️‍🔥 I'm sorry in advance if this bunch of nonsense will be full of typos and incongruous, but it's late and I've been awake since 2012, but I just finished this book and I can't start another one or do anything else really, without putting down some thoughts, first) Kingdom of the Cursed wasn't perfect -and I've explained why in my review-, but I still felt like the majority of it worked for me. I forgot to mention Emilia got on my nerves a lot. Not just because of her sex-crazed state, but because I felt like she was trying too hard to be tough and badass. I don't quite know how to explain it. She just gave off weird vibes the whole time.So this one, had a lot of building on Hell, and fallen angels- aka demons, summoning demons, witchcraft and the whole concept of selling one's soul. Obviously, as a Christian I do not agree with any events in the book that happened. But it can bring one bit of peace knowing that it's not non fiction.

i love the direction this series went with book #2, and i think this concluding installment does the overall story justice. its books like these that perfectly argue why the NA genre needs to be more of a thing in the publishing world.Writing sequels worthy of a spectacular first book mustn't be an easy job, but if there's an author I know would accept the challenge and ace it, it's Kerri Maniscalco. Hello! This week was FULL of fun KINGDOM OF THE FEARED things. The standard US/UK cover reveal, the B&N Exclusive edition cover reveal, AND the gorgeous Waterstones Exclusive edition and the best part???? The Nerd Daily shared the entire FIRST CHAPTER and Waterstones posted it on their blog this morning too. The first chapter—as well as the book summary— contain spoilers for the first two books, please do not read either if you need to catch up on the series. and i guess this segues into my first main issue with the actual story itself... and yeah, you guessed it!! ✨sex✨ When a high-ranking member of House Greed is assassinated, damning evidence somehow points to Vittoria as the murderer. Now, Emilia will do anything to get to the bottom of these accusations against the sister she thought she knew.

We get the answers we’ve been waiting for. But you would think 3 books later Emilia would have grown up and become less naive. Nope!!! Just because she has powerful magic doesn’t mean she’s a powerful fmc, and I wish Maniscalco understood that. I'm a huge fan of the soulbond aspect of their relationship. Very romantic and very Feysand-like of them. Thinking of waves lapping made me think of Wrath’s skilled tongue and all the things he’d done to me with it. I squeezed my eyes shut, but that only brought on memories of Wrath between my thighs, a king indulging in a royal feast.

For starters, the characters were incredibly flat. The main villain reveal from the last book was amazing, and yet this part didn't utilize it at all. Vittoria was boring and lost all allure only a few chapters in, leaving me sorely disappointed. But still, she wasn't the worst character by far. Wrath was great but honestly I was even underwhelmed by him. The romance that we’ve all been waiting for for 2 books was steamy, yes, but I felt like his actual character got completely watered down. Nothing felt new, the plot staled and the romance I found so exciting and breathtaking in the previous books, was a little too prominent in this one. I'm lowering my rating to 2 stars, because while writing this review i realized i was too generous with my original rating.
