So, I guess the same digital transfer was used for mastering both vinyl and CDs right? For me it's a must have anyway, both versions are on their way. A few thoughts about the vinyl box. It is very nice. The artwork collects all sort of Strummer scribblings, drawings, random thoughts, notes about how he wanted the artwork and the credits on the sleeves to play out (even on the CD label... he was really fastidious about how his records would look! ...and as a fan I appreciate that), the book has plenty of pictures. The mastering is very good, I think it's an improvement over the originals but honestly I haven't really, painstakingly compared them. My Vibes Compass records are noise free. They are not flat, but can probably be corrected with a short bake in a Vinyl Flat.
