Alternatives to Hylo-Tear Eye Drops Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Hylo Tears Eye is used for the treatment of pain in osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee in patients who have failed to respond adequately to conservative nonpharmacologic therapy, and to simple analgesics, e.g., acetaminophen. In the unlikely event that you develop irritation to the eye or eyes in which you have applied Hylo-Tear Eye Drops you should stop using these drops straight away.
