The volume knob on the 1700BT is more sensitive, which means it can be adjusted in smaller increments, while the knob on the 1280DB is more resistant. Paid only 165 Euros for them with free delivery, I could've bought an amp, and some more decent passive speakers, but I couldn't be bothered especially that it's a very temporary setup.
