The apprentice must answer correctly a minimum of 23 questions out of 35 to achieve a pass. Of the 23 questions answered correctly, these must include all 5 questions relating to K15. You should be at least 16 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines.

The requirement for Level 3 Early Years Educators to hold an approved English and mathematics qualification has been broadened to include other suitable level 2 qualifications, including Functional Skills. The test consists of 35 multiple-choice questions and the apprentices will have a maximum of 60 minute to complete the test.
