In fact, I was reading well into the night and finished a third of it in the first day. Which is very rare for me. The pace worked with me at first because Duplicity was a mystery as was Harry Styles and it was angsty because you were waiting for Harry and Aven to get together, but he was also kind of sociopathic. After the 50 % mark, the author is just adding random things to keep it interesting. Like Niall being stabbed and the guy with the skeleton mask --- Quincy, was it? And random stuff. Ugh, no. The plot went downhill.The story is well written, engaging, and you feel like you are experiencing the whole ordeal with him throughout the entire book. Paul still wants a wife and large family and is eager for his young son to have a mommy, so he seeks a wife through dating services. When he meets Audrey, he immediately falls for her and believes she will be the perfect wife, and her three children from two previous marriages will complete the family he wants so much. Although red flags appear even before they are married, Paul ignores them and goes through with the wedding. The marriage is part-time--Audrey is gone half of every week, explaining that she and her aunt take turns caring for her grandmother in a city a few hours away. The character Beth comes across as quite young in the beginning, but as the story progressed, she seemed much more mature at times. Other characters hide behind facades, too. This was an amazing story. I was so interested at the beginning but then, the long chapters became a little unbearable. I gotta say the plot twists were interesting and well planned. I love the characters even though I don't imagine them as 1D yeah... it didn't felt right😭
