Mr. Miserable · Mr. Right · Mr. Thrifty · Mrs. Thrifty · Little Miss Penny · Little Miss Prudence · Wilfred the Wizard · Mr. Careless · Little Miss Nobody · Mr. Mean's brother · Little Miss Bump · Mr. Beefeater's Family Dr. Men was a series of Mr. Men books focusing on incarnations of the Doctor, published by Puffin Books and written by Adam Hargreaves. Was the author so utterly uninspired he had the idea to reuse Castrovalva? Was Roger in a supermarket at the time? He could have gone with a later team-up , but this one (with Nyssa, Tegan & Adric) is the most well-known, I'm sure y0u would agree.Doctor Who and the Mr. Men & Little Miss books combine to make an excellent way to introduce young ones to the Doctor! In this installment, the fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane run and run and run away from the Daleks. The first four books – Dr. First, Dr. Fourth, Dr. Eleventh and Dr. Twelfth – are available now telling Time Lord stories with illustrations from Adam Hargreaves, son of the Mr Men & Little Miss creator, Roger Hargreaves. This series of Mr Men derived Doctor Who books (one for each Doctor) is great fun - aimed particularly at fans of Doctor Who and the Mr Men alike. Join all thirteen Doctors - from Dr. First to Dr. Thirteenth on amazing adventures through time and space.

The other thing I was pleased about was that there was a returning baddie! Not that I want to give it away, let's just say this baddie had already turned up to menace a later Doctor (So, I guess, he's not returning in this story, as such, but you know what I mean). Hold on to your hats, it's Mr. Tom Baker, I mean Dr. Fourth heading off on another long-overdue adventure with Sarah Jane. The first four books, featuring the first, fourth, 11th and 12th doctors – played respectively by William Hartnell, Tom Baker, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi – will be published next spring. The First Doctor will be taking on the Cybermen, reimagined in Roger Hargreaves’ classic style; the Fourth Doctor, along with Sarah Jane Smith, will be confronting the Daleks; the 11th Doctor will be appearing alongside River Song, and the 12th Doctor with Time Lady Missy. From the pen of Adam Hargreaves (author, illustrator) who is the son of original Mr Men creator Roger Hargreaves. Earlier this year, Adam Hargreaves also created four new characters to mark the Mr Men’s 45th anniversary: Mr Marvellous, Little Miss Fabulous, Mr Adventure and Little Miss Sparkle. He told the Guardian at the time: “I hope my dad would have liked my new books – and that he would think they were in keeping with the rest of the series. There isn't a more fitting pait than the Doctor and Sarah. The Doctor and Sarah encounter the Daleks, where they meet one particular Dalek called Dale, I loved the name. The text is rather simple and straightforward. Hargreaves aptly captured the essence of the Fifth Doctor's stoicism fairly well. The illustrations are a perfect combination between the Doctor Who and the Mr Men and Little Miss universes. The Fifth Doctor depicted really looks like Peter Davison from the Mr Men and Little Miss universe. I can't remember if I had the Mr. Men/Little Miss books when I was little but I definitely remember reading them to my younger brothers when they were little and really enjoying them. I was very happy when I was able to find them to read to my children. Imagine my absolute delight when I found this mash-up of them with Doctor Who! (Seriously, anyone who knows me knows my love of Doctor Who) I admit to not being as familiar with the older generation of Doctors as I am with the new series (starting with 9) but I have seen a bit of them as I was growing up and as my kids have been enjoying them as well as the newer stuff.

The text is rather simple and straightforward. Hargreaves aptly captured the essence of the Fourth Doctor's whimsical charm fairly well. I love that the Jelly Babies features rather frequently in the text. The illustrations are a perfect combination between the Doctor Who and the Mr Men and Little Miss universes. The Fourth Doctor depicted really looks like Tom Baker from the Mr Men and Little Miss universe. Doctor Who Mr. Men Are Special Mr. Men based on all 13 doctors in the Doctor Who franchise. They each go by their respective number. I.e. the first Doctor is called Dr. First, the 9th doctor is called Dr. Ninth, etc. The second group of books was released on 29 August 2017. Then, Dr. Tenth: Christmas Surprise! was released on 17 October 2017. The third group of books was released on 6 February 2018. Later that year, on 6 November, a new book starring the then-recently debuted Thirteenth Doctor was released. The renegade Time Lord, once a friend of the Doctor, has made many memorable appearances over the decades in the show. And, like the Doctor, the Master can also regenerate, and has been played by a number of actors since his 1971 debut; including John Simm (who first appeared alongside the Tenth Doctor) and most recently Michelle Gomez (who called herself Missy). Ever the trouble-maker, the Master has often teamed up with the Cybermen and even the Daleks! Read more here. Must Watch Stories: But look out, it's the ascendingly-challenged Daleks and, with the exception of Dale the Dalek whose more akin to a handwhisk than a Dalek, they're hell-bent on exterminating Dr. Fourth and anything that stands between them (except moving traffic, of course.)Classic creatures the Silurians were here long before the human race and didn’t look too kindly upon our kind. The Third Doctor sympathised with their cause when we first met them in 1970. In the Eighties, they teamed up with the Sea Devils for the Fifth Doctor tale, Warriors From the Deep. In recent times, the Eleventh Doctor befriended Silurian Madame Vastra who described herself as a “lizard from the dawn of time”! She, with her wife Jenny and the Sontaran Strax shared numerous adventures with that particular regeneration and one with his successor, the Twelfth Doctor. Read more here. Must Watch Stories: Mr. Brawler · Mr. No · Little Miss Brilliant · Little Miss Busy-Body · Little Miss Carefree · Little Miss Careful · Little Miss Loud · Little Miss Pretty · Little Miss Prim · Little Miss Show-Off · Little Miss Yes Dr. Men was a series of Mr. Men books focusing on incarnations of the Doctor, from the Dr. Who franchise, published by Puffin Books and written by Adam Hargreaves. The other thing I was pleasantly surprised by was how Adam Hargreaves had certainly done his homework on this one. Or rather, of all his research (I understand he's not a Doctor Who fan, and had to do a lot of reading and watching to get his stories), I was impressed by the thins one in particular since it features one of the most crowded TARDIS crews in the show's history. This is the list of the special characters that have been released occasionally or having limited releases.
