About this deal

He would barely let me leave each evening! More than once, I had to read a second chapter to appease my 7-year-old, and he was desperate to know how Dinah, Lloyd and Harvey coped against the terrifying Head of the story. One of the great characters of children’s books, the Demon Headmaster rules his school with his sea-green eyes through which he hypnotises the pupils. When Dinah arrives she sets up SPLAT, a group designed to protect the pupils from the head’s paranormal powers and to break his dictatorship. Ingrid is the youngest member of SPLAT, but she is no pushover. Ingrid is generally the most childish member of SPLAT, prone to sulking when things do not go her way or the others do not listen to her. The fact that she is the youngest does mean that she is generally ignored if she makes a suggestion We follow Dinah Glass who's been fostered by the Hunter family and attends school with Lloyd and Harvey and instantly notices something is completely off.

Beware of the Demon Headmaster - ISBN 0-19-275236-7 (a short story about the Demon Headmaster, without the other characters) Just imagine the Demon Headmaster staring at you with these big, dark holes where his eyes should be. But when he invited Dinah to his office to take a test, this is exactly how he watched her. Now this is my favourite part in the story where Dinah meets the Headmaster... for the first time. The first book follows the adventures of Dinah as she joins a new school where the headmaster is extremely creepy and the children weirdly well-behaved. As she settles in, Dinah finds herself saying and doing things she can’t control and seeks to uncover the secret to the headmaster’s influence with the help of her SPLAT (Society for the Protection of Our Lives Against Them) team. As the kids fight the Demon Headmaster’s hypnotic power, they realise he won’t stop at controlling the school - he wants to take over the whole nation! In the front of the book it says that 'Crash Landing' was first published in Shark And Chips And Other Stories, and that 'Carnival' was published in the Young Telegraph in 1996. The third story is not mentioned.

Earp, Catherine (11 February 2019). "The Demon Headmaster is being revived by CBBC to terrify a new generation". Digital Spy. Danny took part on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, becoming the seventh eliminated contestant from the series. It was eventually won that year by Stacey Dooley. When was the show on CBBC? For a start, none of the children play rowdy games in the playground. They just stand around in Study Circles, memorizing facts - multiplication tables and dates of kings and queens of England. And her two new foster brothers (Harvey and Lloyd) who she has come to live with seem very nervous of the Headmaster.

The school's science fair is coming up, and the Headmaster has invited the students' families to attend. Realising he intends to hypnotise them, Lizzie and Ethan enlist recent genius Sophie to help them counter his powers with sound. From the very first day at her new school, Dinah can see that something is horribly wrong. The children are strangely neat and well-behaved and they even work during break. What's going on? How can she find out the truth? And what is the secret of the Headmaster's control? A brilliant spooky series for readers aged eight upwards who relish stories with intriguing plots and sharply contrasting characters. Drifting. All she could see was two pools, deep green like the sea. And she seemed to sink into them, as she drifted off... and off."But mostly he’s been in theatre, appearing in Into The Woods, Hamlet and Assassins, and lending his voice to video games. Anyone who's familiar with the show will testify how sinister Terrence Hardiman was as the titular Headmaster. One thing I really like to do, is read the same book as a friend. You can find out which parts they found exciting, or frightening. Did they laugh at the same bits as you? And the great thing about it is, that you can read the same book, but have a completely different experience. And unlike the Demon Headmaster's robot pupils, you can think for yourselves. Wow, that was weird. Okay, so what about the other pupils? Well, Dinah gets no help from them at all. Every time she asks questions about the school, all they say is... "The Headmaster is a marvellous man, and this is the best school I've ever been to." The Demon Headmaster is the title of the first Demon Headmaster book which started off the Demon Headmaster Book series which was written by British author Gillian Cross.
