The Base M completes the Cybex 'family-system' of car seats together with the Aton M/Aton M i-Size and the Sirona M2 i-Size it offers one base for two stages of car seat. This base complies with the new i-Size regulations. i-Size (ECE R-129) is the new EU standard for child safety in Europe. However, there’s a more important issue. The Aton M headrest is relatively short top to bottom, which means that for older babies, when the straps are at or below the shoulders, the baby’s head will already be near the top of the headrest. The seat is outgrown when the head is less than 1 inch from the top of the headrest. As we can see in these photos, this baby has already outgrown the Aton M at 10 months.
