About this deal

We have state-of-the-art testing facilities in London and Reading, where our team of experienced, in-house reviewers test the majority of hi-fi and AV kit that passes through our door. Functionality is kept simple with a remote and mic on the cable for the left earphone. It’s a standard three-button job, so it should work with Apple and Android smartphones, giving you volume and stop/start functionality. Given the price, it's hard to find fault with these excellent budget buds. Thankfully for Bose, the new Ultra Earbuds live up to the legacy. A little sleeker and more luxury-looking and with a more secure fit, the external changes to the Ultra are minimal. That's no bad thing, as we hardly had many issues with the fit or look of the Award-winning QuietComfort Ultra II.

The Shure SE215 Wired Earbuds – Professional Sound Isolating Earphones are the same in design as Shure SE425 & Shure SE315. It comes with angled earbuds providing a decent fit to the ears. The buds are impressively small, and their lightweight design helps make them more comfortable than a whole host of rivals. Battery life is competitive at seven and a half hours, although the fact the charging case can only offer one extra charge seems a little stingy.

The IE 300 has similar tuning as the Momentum True Wireless 2 (MTW2), the latter having boomier bass, less wide staging, and the treble is less sweet. It’s a trade-off for true-wireless convenience which I am happy to accept, until I find a true wireless MMCX adapter that I can plug to the IE 300. VerdictThe sound quality is superbly balanced too, with deep, detailed bass, expressive mids and engaging highs. They're a very musical listen for the money. If you like natural sound, then these are certainly worth considering. I’m impressed, and I’m a fan. Their construction is quite basic, nothing groundbreaking, and can sit on your ears for a few hours. It also comes with a cleaning tool, zippered carrying case, and foam and silicone sleeves having different sizes for the right fit.

If you’re not a fan of bright highs, then some aspects of all three earphones might not be for you. The warm nozzle on the Aonic 5 has the most recessed treble, and the neutral ones add some nice sparkle. The Aonic 3 probably has the harshest highs, with the Aonic 4 have the crispest and sibilant response. The Aonic 5 has the added bonus of the nozzle attachments that reflect on its treble response. So if the bright nozzle isn’t your thing you can warm up the sound with their respective attachments. This makes the Aonic 5 the more versatile and dynamic earphone in this range. The wireless earbuds are quite famous, and the demand is not dwindling in the market at the moment. These wireless ear headphones are extremely comfortable to wear and come with several features in them too. With a transparent section on each earpiece that allows you to see their inner workings, Shure's Aonic 5 are certainly an eye-catching pair of buds – but it's how they sound that earns them their place on this list. You can find useful information on various topics in there, including troubleshooting problems as well as explanations for the in-game options. As an added layer of complexity, having tested more in-ear headphones than can easily be counted, we can safely say not all the sets doing the rounds are worth your time or investment. Over the years we’ve tested many sets that look good on paper and have compelling price tags, but with real-world use fail to deliver in key areas, like audio and build quality.Shure has a reputation for well-made, durable earphones. This reputation comes down to their primary use as monitors for professional musicians. With the Aonic 3 being a consumer-targeted earphone, I was worried they might sacrifice some of the build quality, but they far exceeded the previous generations. I could probably name 10 iem's that are better, cheaper and better looking than many of those you mentioned. It's as easy as installing the new version, preferrably to a different location than the old installation. Your existing save game data will be used by the new version as well, as it's stored outside of the actual game installation (see the game's Manual PDF for details). In summary, the Shure Aonic 3 Wired Sound Isolating Earbuds cater to the cravings of music aficionados who yearn for an immersive sound experience. While there are areas for potential improvement, such as cable durability and comfort nuances, Shure's reputation for crafting high-quality products adds an extra layer of assurance. The Aonic 3 has an all-metal chassis, but instead of a straight barrel design like the Etymotic ER4 line, they have a slight bend to aid with ergonomics. The bend is at the nozzle and perfectly affects comfort and ease of insertion into your ear canal.

Changing the renderer to OpenGL Software could help. If not, try switching to fail-safe mode. For instructions on that, have a look at the Manual PDF linked above. Inspired by Shure’s old E4 in-ears, the Aonic 3 use a single vented balanced armature driver. They’re the smallest earbuds in Shure’s current line-up and we’re big fans of the fit and level of comfort that they offer. They’re lightweight, and the fact the headphone cable can be secured over the top of your ears instead of just hanging down means the Aonics feel secure at all times. However, we found that ambient noise cancelation occurs. This makes the sound to bleed around the unit. The model provides you with some helpful isolation of the audio that is present in the earbuds. Aonic 3 - Acquired fitment. Light on bass. Sharp upper mids & sibilance. Detailed but not particularly refined. Good build quality. We try a wide range of music and music file types, and if the earbuds offer extra features such as noise-cancelling, we also test this and use them in different environments to make sure it's up to scratch. Shure has not killed the competition at this price point. With the explosion of Chinese IEM companies in the past few years, while they have been sleeping, the Aonic 3 stands out as an option rather than a stand-alone.
