If you’ve been in almost any premium bar, you’ll of most likely seen a bottle of Tanqueray No.10 glistening in its glorious green bottle, sat on the bar shelves. This multi-award winning citrus based gin has been welcomed by the vast majority of gin lovers due to its depth of a fresh, clean flavour and sets the bar at what a premium gin should be. Tanqueray No.10 Gin Tasting Notes The second and final distillation takes place in the larger vintage 'Old Tom' No. 4 still. This is charged with the citrus heart previously distilled in Tiny Ten and wheat neutral spirit. Tanqueray's four traditional botanicals (juniper, coriander, angelica and liquorice) are added, along with camomile flowers and quartered fresh limes. Whole citrus fruits, limes, oranges and pink grapefruit are added with chamomile flowers to Tiny Ten

Overall, Tanqueray Ten endures not because of the reputation, of the brand that preceded it. It endures because it’s a nearly perfectly made gin. Tanqueray No. TEN was the first ever gin to be distilled in small batches with fresh citrus fruit. This distillation takes place in a unique copper still called Tiny Ten. It produces a spirit known as the citrus heart which gives Tanqueray No. TEN its bright, elegant citrus taste Tanqueray No.10 works brilliantly in a Tom Collins but also works well when served simply with a wedge of grapefruit or most citrus based fruits. Tanqueray No. TEN Gin is distilled four times with Tanqueray's standard gin botanicals of juniper, coriander, angelica and liquorice Another important aspect of Tanqueray No. Ten's distillation is the low percentage of spirit retained as 'the cut' for the finished product. Typically (for example, with Special Dry) 90% of the total spirit is captured as the cut, implying that around 10% is discarded as 'heads' (the first spirit to run off the still) and 'tails' (the last spirit to run off the still). In contrast, during distillation of Tanqueray No. Ten, only around 60% of the spirit makes the cut: approximately 40% is discarded.

Lịch sử hình thành thương hiêu rượu Tanqueray No Ten

Charles Tanqueray created the world's finest London Dry Gin in 1830 and it is made today to the same classic, timeless recipe. Tanqueray No. Ten was created with this heritage in mind and set the standard as one of the very first ultra-premium gins. Compliment Tanqueray No. TEN and tonic with a pink grapefruit wedge to enhance its bright and complex citrus flavour. Pour in gin and juice of half a lime into the bowl and let the mixture infuse in the fridge for 30 minutes. It’s in the midpalate where the more rooty elements in the gin emerge with angelica root and licorice, and we really get a sense of the level of alcohol. It’s really the midpalate of Tanqueray London Dry Gin which makes it one of the best gins you can use in a gin and tonic. The structure that’s created between the spice and the spirit is unparalleled in the gin space, with flavor that is nothing short of perfection. Like the nose, the midpalate of Tanqueray has each and every botanical accounted for. Surprisingly, there’s also a sense of underlining sweetness in the midpalate. It’s subtle, but it’s there, and it emanates not only from the base grain spirit, but also from the licorice root. Tanqueray No. TEN Gin has won multiple awards including accolades from the San Francisco Spirits Competition 2020, where it won Double Gold in the gin category.

Tanqueray No. Ten was created with this heritage in mind and set the standard as one of the very first ultra-premium gins Tanqueray No. 10 Gin launched in 2000. At the time, it was a bold departure from the Tanqueray Gin standard. At the time, Tanqueray Ten might have been considered contemporary in style. Distilled in small batches with fresh whole grapefruit, oranges, limes and chamomile, Tanqueray No. TEN is an exceptional taste experience. It is the only gin to be inducted into the San Francisco Spirit Awards Hall of Fame.Tanqueray No. TEN is distilled four times with the classic gin botanicals of refreshing juniper, peppery coriander, aromatic angelica and sweet liquorice. Fresh whole citrus fruits and chamomile flowers are then added to create an exceptional taste. Tanqueray No.10 has been a staple gin since 2000, it serves the purpose of being a trendsetter for what a premium gin should be like. Although, with the level of gins constantly improving, it’s questionable how long can Tanqueray No.10 keep this title.
