Is this the Pixie suit Bellamy's talking about? I think it might be as I can think of no other waterproof garment that would have been 'new' in 1944 or even that colour. As most of you will know the colours of various wartime era Pixie's can range from creamy to tan to khaki, (I've got a Pixie hood which is a dark green ala the Denim tank suit...I think it might be post-war though). The suit is typical of tank suits and features the original manufacturer's label in the right hand sleeve. It states the size as ‘Size No. 3’ which will fit up to a 36-38” chest and a 32” waist. The 1944 date is present as is the War Department broad arrow marking. You could use both Panzer Aces 317 and Vallejo 921 English Uniform for painting the British infantry uniform. Both colors are close in shade.The condition of the overall is good as can be seen in the pictures. It displays nicely and could certainly still be worn but it does have a number of period repairs, mainly to the rear. These are detailed in the pictures and add some nice character to the suit.
