About this deal

What length are cables that come with this, ie mains plug to charger and charger to bike. Also what difference between this and aniversary edition, same price except for a few coloured buttons on front? September 20, 2018 Bulk Fast Charge means that the Optimiser charges at a fast rate to bring the battery to approximately 85%capacity

I don't really want to try push some juice into it with the other battery, as I don't fancy trying to bump start the ZX7R at 8am tomorrow in case of failure/battery death. Does it mean you can connect it to your bike whilst you are riding it, or just when it is instorage? November 30, 2011 A USB port on a bike will be for charging items such as mobile phones, and will be for output only. The Oximiser will come with a battery connectionlead. If the battery is deeply discharged to approximately 4.1 Volts, the Oximiser 900 will charge at up to 900mA/hr until it reaches 11.8 Volts and the bulk charge mode (The Oximiser 900 will otherwise apply a gentle charge up-to 200mA/h to ensure the battery is brought up to a fullcharge). I expect the charger is fully working, but if the battery was dud then the charger should tell me so...Please do not operate the charger in a closed area or restrict ventilation in any way. During charging, the battery must be placed in a well-ventilated area. Also, do not expose the charger to the elements, it is for indoor operating useonly. Is this suitable for a Harley Davidson Sportster 48 with an absorbed glass matt (AGM)battery? October 15, 2019 AnswerThe Oximiser 3X can be used on lithium batteries, however all our other chargers have not been tested to be used on lithium batteries.

If the battery is damaged, the Oximiser won’t attempt to recover it. If the battery is below 8V it will display as ‘weak’ and won’t attempt to recover it. If the battery is holding more than 8V the Oximiser will go into ‘recover’ mode, giving the battery a soft start charge at very low current. If the initial voltage is 12.5V or more, it goes straight into ‘charge’ mode.Charging mode gives a strong charge until the battery reaches 85% and then reduces the current until fully charged The Oximiser is designed to be plugged in and left on to maintain a battery, and so should really have been plugged in before leaving the bike for two weeks. The charger will go through cycles(recover, bulk charge and maintain) and two hours would not be long enough to give the battery a full charge. If this had been left on over night you should find that the battery would be fullycharged. Is this charge suitable for Lithium Batteries. I have read some manufacturer statements saying as long as they are not left on for long periods and the chargers don't charge at 15+ volts they should befine? January 29, 2018 Hi does this optimiser come with all the leads or is it just the unit , withoutleads November 7, 2019 The problem I suspect with this method is that I have tried and failed to charge a flatted battery using a Brand New optimate. The optimiser was never any use after this.

Fast and efficient charging in all modes keeps charge times short and reduces main power consumptionBattery chargers have come a long way in the last 10 years. Time was you needed a different unit for your bike from your car and the charging technology was clumsy and a bit ‘brute-force’. Smart chargers changed all that and many, like this one, have algorithms that assess the condition of your battery and apply the optimal charging cycle to keep it healthy. The ‘charge’ mode gives a constant current of either 0.8 Amps or 3.6 Amps depending on the charge mode selected. A professional switch mode charger designed to automatically maintain, optimise and prolong the life of a 12-volt battery. It can be left permanently connected to provide guaranteed long-term battery care. Heavily discharged batteries as low as 4.1V can be charged if the battery is not damaged. This will be fine - let the battery stand for an hour before charging, and leave the cap off while charging for the firsttime.
