About this deal

Butchers- Novokh’s +1” to Charges. It’s reliable, and can work nicely with some of the Circumstances below if you’re looking for a melee alternative, but giving up the Novokh Stratagem alone is a big ask. Alchemist Crypteks specialise in the transmutation of matter from one form to another and the instilling of animus within inanimate objects. Sky of Falling Stars- Three units within 24” take D3 Mortal Wounds if you roll under the number of models in their unit (6s always fail), with Vaults doing a flat 3. Great for dealing with multiple units and can spread a great amount of mortal wounds in the early stages of the game, though obviously not so great against smaller units or individual models. Doesn’t need line of sight, so no-one can hide, use to chip away at units that are hiding and holding objectives.

But what’s all this talk of ‘command protocols’? Well, consider it one of the perks of biotransference which enables Necrons of high status to impose their will upon those who serve them. It may sound harsh, but don’t worry – for you, this is definitely a good thing! Here’s how it works… When you select a PSYKER unit to manifest psychic powers, you select one psychic power that unit knows and attempt to manifest it. With the exception of Smite, you cannot attempt to manifest the same psychic power more than once in the same battle round, even with different PSYKER units. The same PSYKER unit cannot attempt to manifest Smite more than once during the same battle round. A Cryptek is one of the technologists and engineers of the Necron species, and they are responsible for studying and maintaining the technology of the Necron dynasties. A Cryptek's powers mirror that of the psykers found amongst the other intelligent species of the galaxy. Every Cryptek conclave specialises in a particular field of techno-sorcery in one of a hundred thousand disciplines. These conclaves were originally founded to share information and expertise amongst Necron settlements from one end of the galaxy to the other, but have since become fragmented and isolated. Fractal Targeting- TOMB BLADES can Advance and shoot without penalties, and turns their Rapid Fire weapons into Assault 2. Makes them very zippy for getting Line of Sight, nabbing objectives, or getting access to parts of the battlefield without sacrificing too much firepower.

Necrons.

Enter the Cryptek Arkana, namely the Dimensional Sanctum. The price is 15 points, the reward is Deep Strike. The Crypteks have never been the most hardy of the Tomb Kings (er...Necrons), and this dude is no exception so slogging him up the field may not be the wisest idea one’s had. Make this guy an Orbital Bombardment that 90% of the time works every time. Eldritch Lance - The Eldritch Lance is utilised by Crypteks who are also Plasmancers and are able to wield raw energy. This long stave is laced with arcane circuitry, its flared tip studded with focusing crystals. An Eldritch Lance emits a beam of annihilating energy, compared to which the Staff of Light seems but a toy. The passage of its blasts of furious energies can make even the air scream in agony. For those rare cases when the Cryptek's enemies survive long enough to engage him in close combat, the Eldritch Lance can be wielded in a manner akin to a spear. After years of collecting, buying and selling, building and painting, we realised that we had amassed a small library of Build Instructions, Assembly Instructions and User Guides for various Games Workshop products.

Abyssal Staff - Crypteks that are accomplished Psychomancers utilise Abyssal Staves. As dark as onyx and decorated with symbols designed to prey on the subconscious fears of mortals, an Abyssal Staff blasts the sanity of a Psychomancer's foes. To succumb to the swirling ebon mists called by the Abyssal Staff is to be swallowed in inpenetrable darkness. Seismic Assault- Roll a D6 for each enemy model in a visible unit within 18”, with a +1 if used by a Vault. Does a Mortal Wound for each 6+, though it’s capped at 10 wounds. Can inflict a heavy toll on a unit, though probably not one you’d go for given the vast amount of anti infantry Necrons can pump out already. This process can also have complications, for whilst no Cryptek will knowingly supplant another of the same conclave, a rival from another conclave will not hesitate to do so. This usually results in plots and counterplots which can lead to rivalry, or even outright conflict, between different Crypteks and their respective conclaves. As Tomb Worlds need perpetual maintenance to maintain their countless systems functioning at peak efficiency, it is not unknown for a slighted Cryptek to bring the maintenance cycle to a screaming halt should his supposed "betters" require a reminder of the power he and his kind wield. Even the proudest Necron Overlord will muster an apology when his soldiers and weapons seize up on the eve of battle. Annihilation Barge • Catacomb Command Barge • Doomsday Ark • Ghost Ark • Tesseract Ark • Tomb Blade • Monolith ( Doomsday Monolith) • Megalith • Obelisk • Tesseract Vault • Dias of Dominion and Triarchal Menhirs • Triarch Stalker

If every model in an INFANTRY unit is on or in an Area Terrain feature with this trait, then it can either Hold Steady or it can Set to Defend (see below) when an enemy unit declares a charge against it. All your Troops are Objective Secure. You have some of the most resilient Troops in the game by virtue of their special rules and stats, so holding Objectives should prove easier than others. In many ways, a Cryptek's powers mirror those employed by the psykers of other intelligent races, but instead of using their innate psychic abilities by channeling Warp energies, the Cryptek employs arcane science to harness the universe's fundamental forces.
