About this deal

GFX Benchmark Manhattan stresses the device a little more, but it had the dreaded out-of-memory error, which is not an issue. The result is generally good photos in Day or office light. It struggles with low light introducing a lot of noise, but you will not see that on a 4×6″ print.

It has an Analytical: (bass/mid recessed; treble boosted) – crisp but not pleasant for most music. It will decode Dolby Atmos and downmix it to the earpiece and down-firing bottom speaker. This is an odd sound signature almost all focused on 1-6kHz (voice). This is, in part, because the Moto G82 has a sensor with a small surface area compared to its resolution. The Samsung JN1 is a 1/2.76-inch sensor, a little smaller than the 1/2.55-inch Sony IMX363 of the Pixel 6a (which also benefits from native resolution shooting), and dramatically smaller than the 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX766 of the OnePlus Nord 2T. Fingerprint recognition is a touch slower than that of top-tier phones but still feels great. You don’t need to push the button in, the presence of your thumb is enough. You can also lightly double-tap the finger pad to bring up a box of app shortcuts. B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B17, B18, B19, B20, B26, B28, B32, B38, B39, B40, B41, B42, B43 Any more coverage than the above and we end up over-analysing what is a fairly unadventurous but pleasant enough phone. Note that Telco-supplied models have a single SIM and dedicated microSD. Retail models have dual hybrid SIM and microSD. Deep-Dive review format

Photos during the day can still look perfectly sound, but the importance of software and a phone’s ISP (image signal processor) are highlighted by the step-up Moto G82. It has the same sensor but tends to deliver much better color reproduction and its images look significantly less processed up close. You can expect to have 20-30% charge left by the end of a day of moderate use, which is what we typically saw when not playing games on the Moto G62 for any significant time. Very light users may be able to squeeze two days out of a charge, but we don’t think that is realistic if you tend to watch YouTube on your phone, or spend time scrolling through social media apps.

Video (we are not video experts): You can shoot at 1080p@30fps with some OIS (optical image stabilisation While the Moto G50’s 720p screen helped it last for over 25 hours in our test, the improved 1080p panel used here is more power hungry. Coming in at a hair over 21 hours, the Moto G62 5G still puts in an impressive display, edging just ahead of the Nokia G50 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11. The provided 15W fast charger isn’t particularly flashy but should still take the massive 5,000mAh battery from empty to full in less than two hours. Motorola Moto G62 5G review: Cameras The camera setup that is the staple of the Motorola GX2 series includes a 50MP 1/2.76" f/1.8 main camera, aided by an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro shooter. We are, interested to see how the budget 50MP sensor performs compared to competitors using the larger 64MP and 48MP sensors. The Motorola Moto G82 doesn’t take particularly good night-time photos, which may make you question what the OIS is actually for. It isn’t required in good lighting, where the short exposure time makes handshake blur a non-issue. It does help you avoid blurry indoors images, though, when the exposure might extend to 1/20 of a second. But you can still get far better night-time results elsewhere.

Motorola Moto G62 5G: Best 5G Android Phones UK

Ultra-wide: S8MP sensor: Good colour and details/ although you can tell it is a different sensor to the primary. However, the ultra-wide can still take perfectly shareable pictures with reasonably rich color and enough detail not to appear instantly compromised when thrown up on a laptop-size screen. The dual GPS is welcome, but it easily loses satellites on cloudy days (and we are in the middle of a 100-year rain bomb). NFC supports Google Pay. Phone – dual sim, dual ringtone, and solid signal strength
