The mill was operated by four generations of Kay family members. Thomas Lister Kay died in 1900 and his son Thomas B. Kay took over as president and served until his own death in 1931. [9] Thomas B. Kay's son Ercel took over for his father, and Ercel's son Tom Kay took over for him. Herbert H Skinner was the vicar from 1927 to 1933, and early in his term of office, the county council threatened to take over the Misson Church of England School because it did not meet the education authority's standards. This move seemed to be favoured by many in the village, but Skinner insisted that he was in the process of improving standards. In 1930 he was given a three-month ultimatum by many parents, who said they would withdraw their children from the school if things did not improve, but the threatened strike was called off at the last minute. The full council had serious concerns about the financial obligations for restoring both houses and did not approve the placement of the historical buildings in either Bush’s Pasture Park or Marion Square Park. Instead, the Council referred the matter to a joint Committee for the Siting of the Jason Lee House and Methodist Parsonage comprised of representatives from the Salem Planning Commission and Salem Parks Advisory Board.

The second Bishop son, Roy, had left the company in 1918 to form his own company, the Oregon Worsted Company. The third son, Chauncey, died in 1927. This left C.M. with the sole responsibility for management of both woolen mills. The company's roots began in 1863 when Thomas Lister Kay made a transcontinental trek to the west coast and began working in Oregon's woolen mills. He went on to open his own woolen mill, the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill in Salem, Oregon. Kay was an immigrant from England and a weaver by trade. He had worked in various textile mills on the east coast of the United States. Before opening his own mill in Salem, he helped to set up only the second mill in Oregon at Brownsville. The houses and church have been restored and furnished to a mid 19th-century appearance. The Jason Lee House features a special exhibit about early Oregon during the time of the Methodist Mission.

Ayer Keroh Country Club designed by a team led by Tun Dr. Abdul Ghafar bin Baba, the then Chief Minister of Malacca and a golfing aficionado. The designers of the course very wisely maintained a large part of the virgin jungle so as to limit as much as possible the negative ecological impact the golf course would have on the area. Today, golfers share the course with a varied species of birds, monkeys, squirrels, snakes and monitor lizards that live in the jungle lining the fairways of the course. The company began to expand their product line into other woolen textile products and later into apparel. In 1912 the company opened a weaving mill in Washougal, Washington (across the Columbia River from Portland) for the production of woolen fabrics used in suits and other clothing. The place-name Misson is possibly a derivative of an Old English word, mos, 'moss, marsh, bog', hence 'mossy or marshy place'. Alternatively the name may contain Old Norse mysni, 'a water-plant’, perhaps the water-arum. [6] The Park Drain Hotel was completed by 1899, when Dunston held a dinner there, to outline his plans for the future. A local newspaper noted that the hotel stood in an isolated position, with only some railway men's cottages and a signal box nearby. Dunston expected that a large village or small town would soon be developed near the hotel, as coal mining began. The station served the people of Westwoodside, and the hotel was owned by Whitworth Breweries. It is not clear whether the station was in full operation at that time, as Dunston noted that some of his friends were missing from the dinner, because the railway company would not stop the train on which they were travelling at Park Drain. [33] The start of the First World War and issues with drainage meant that the mining scheme was abandoned. [34] Passenger services were withdrawn in 1955, and freight followed in 1964, [35] but the hotel continued to trade until the 1990s, despite its isolated location. Since 2003, it has been used as offices. [34] Kelab Golf Negara Subang (Subang National Golf Club) is a private members golf club located in Petaling Jaya, close to Kuala Lumpur. The members and their invited guests play on the original and well-rated Putra championship course (Agong and Tunku nines) and its sister Kelana course (Sultan and Tunnines). Mills was portrayed by Adam Driver. In promotional material, he was called a human, although the film opens by explicitly stating that his species existed before the dawn of mankind.
