About this deal

I have decided that i will document the bodywork section of my build for the purposes of assiting others and providing what will hopefully be an interesting thread. Northern England (this matters as temperature, humidity, insects, seasonality etc all contribute to a good finish)

Right guys, some of you lot got very curious when i stated that i was going to roller paint my T4 and asked for more details. Sorry for the somewhat vague post however there is ALOT to document and i would only be repeating what others have already stated on the above links. stationary military facilities, such as anti-aircraft missile systems, radar stations, radar installations, engineering structures, etc. We know that "The best form of advertising is the personal recommendation of a satisfied customer".

Best Military Vehicle Paint for Sale

This paint is to be used direct from the can no thinning required clean brushes etc with white spirit, drying time varies but should be touch dry in 4 hours

IMPORTANT - If attempting this with Rustoleum or similar please bear in mind that any future paint job will likely need 'sealing' as Rustoleum is highly reactive. This will not only increase the costs of a professional paint job, but may limit saleability of your vehicle as a result. We at TA Paints understand military paint needs to be hard-wearing, as military equipment is pushed to the limits. This is the same for military vehicles, which experience high levels of use and wear. We offer competitive pricing on all the products in our military paint range, and guarantee the durability and quality of all our paints. If you require a tough military paint you can depend on, look no further than TA Paints. Shop confidently today, and enjoy fast delivery to your door on all product ranges. High performance coating offering the best in weather resistance and durability. Product must be sprayed using spray equipment. Please note, this is quite different to removing broken studs or bolts/screws with no head/flush with the surface. If you are unsure we will also advise you on the best way to apply our military vehicle paints for the best results.

As with all these things, the key is in the preparation - if you take your time to make sure you've sanded the existing paint work well to provide a key, and treated any rust, the results can be fabulous. To get the perfect finish I'd recommend having a dry roller to hand and very lightly going over the paint to press out any tiny bubbles. I've also found that the thinner the paint, the better the finish, although of course you'll need a few more coats.Beyond this, i filled any areas that required levelling, including my bonnet, barn doors, some areas where panels meet that i wanted to 'blend' and so on. Guidance came purely from online sources, mostly contained or based upon the links provided below. These are highly informative threads are are easily translated onto our own vehicles. I have also been fortunate enough to receive a little help from Harris who have 'sponsored' this paint job to some extent.

Aerosol(400ML) spray cans are provided in a gloss acrylic finish providing fast drying highly durable finish.

Here are a few pictures of the rear quarter panel after a brief treatment, although there isn't much to see in its initially applied state:
