About this deal

It's a sturdy monitor that will last a long time. Well suited to the working professional who routinely puts their monitors through their paces. Specification Meanwhile, the speaker uses an LCD screen to present any information you’ll need while being fully navigable with the volume control dial. The KRK Audio Tools App But, rather than just leave it at that standard iconic yellow color, the Rokit 8 has mellowed it out, creating a somewhat more subdued and less overbearing look when compared to the previous generation’s. Well, My mix's are coming out much much better. These speakers don't sound amazing to me, (obviously because they are not hyped) but they sound just fine for listening and are quite loud with plenty of bass. Obviously they are designed to translate well not to make you think they sound good. Isn't this the real reason for buying monitors?

If you are looking to buy speakers in this price range, there is a lot of competition from brands like Pioneer and Yamaha. KRK has always retained a following even after some lower-quality speakers, and many DJs have found them great for monitoring. With the current range, though, these speakers have been brought up to a studio level, and offer real competition for some of the other top speakers at the same price point. Here, we’ll take a look at what the studio monitor has to offer and if it can truly deliver on its promise as a premier and dynamic sound producer. Are the KRK Rokit 8 G4 Speakers any Good? (in short) There is no set up process involved with these speakers and they are ready to go right away. You can even have them beside your screen or monitor without worrying about the magnets messing up your screen. When I turn these speakers up all the way it still sounds very clean and clear. The bass response is amazing and is probably the sole reason why many people choose to go with the G2 monitors. I have used many other KRK monitors before and all of them are pretty much the same to me except when you start to spend a little more money on them they start sounding a little more crisp in the mid section. The possibility for DSP-driven Active Room Tuning is one of the nicest features of the Rokit G4 series of studio monitors. When you link your monitor to the KRK app, which is available for both iOS and Android, you can take acoustic control to the next level with the Rokit G4 series. Using the app's real-time Room Acoustic Analyzer, you can precisely tune EQ settings to aid in optimum speaker placement and level matching. You can select the ideal settings for your monitor and get the most out of your audio in just a few simple steps. KRK Systems Information

One of the better examples of this is the KRK Rokit 8 G4 monitor speaker set. A tried and true heir to the KRK Systems brand, these new Rokit G4 studio monitor units present themselves to the world as the next step in powered studio monitor development, offering robust and incredible features at a reasonable and competitive price. KRK is a killer sounding monitor that will get you in the ballpark for a decent pair of reference monitors without spending a ton of money. Yes, sounding good is the most important, however, you’re going to be looking at your speakers just as often as you’ll be hearing from them.

As with the others in the G4, it holds too much of the KRK brand while also slightly striking out on its own (such as the bass port). This new KRK studio monitor comes with a bi-amp design, offering drivers and woofers alike their independent sound output. Because the balance between the three frequencies is not perfect (with slight but clear favoritism aimed at the lower end), you can expect to hear a bit of color slipping in from time to time. No, it’s not an inordinate amount. The lows aren’t the only frequency ranges that excellent sound quality. Both the highs and the mids are just as satisfying on the ears. The Higher ends are completely crisp and clear while the mids are very warm and soothing, almost completely mitigating any potential ear fatigue.

Because these are my first good speakers, I cannot compare with similar speakers from other companies. However, the step up from regular random speakers/subwoofer is immense and really worth expense. KRK ROKIT monitors are among the most popular on the market, but it is fair to say that former ranges have been the subject of quite a lot of debate in audio communities. They look impressive, and they are marketed well, but some of the incarnations of their speakers have historically left a little to be desired when it comes to using them in the studio or as DJ monitors. Art and Science stylishly unite with the new 8” KRK Rokit RP8Generation 4 (“G4”) professional monitor, taking music and sound creativity to a whole new industry-level. Building on over 30 years of monitor innovation and countless developmental partnerships with successful award-winning music and sound productions, the new KRK Rokit G4 line has been scientifically re-engineered from the ground up for the way modern artists work—in all genres and environments. KRK App, Room Correction and Onboard LCD Visual EQ The KRK Rokit 8 G4 excels in this area. It has next-generation tuning capabilities. While most speakers use typical switches or knobs, KRK has gone a step further. The speaker output may be adjusted using the internal DSP. Room correction, crossover, and polarity settings, to mention a few, may be applied from here. The LCD panel displays all of the necessary information. The dial that also serves as the volume control makes it simple to navigate the menu.

KRK have added a couple of new two-way active monitors to their range, both of which provide full coverage of the audio spectrum in a nearfield format. Both also feature the same one-inch soft-dome tweeter and a bass/mid-range driver that utilises an aramid glass-fibre cone, the main difference being that the smaller monitor has a five-inch bass/mid-range driver, while the larger has an eight-inch bass/mid-range driver. As you might imagine, this allows the larger Rokit 8 to produce more level and to reproduce lower frequencies, the quoted response being 45Hz-20kHz ±1.5dB. The smaller five-inch unit still manages a respectable 53Hz-20kHz ±2dB, so either will cover the normal musical spectrum very adequately. In addition, the Rokit G4 has a frequency response that ranges between 36Hz on the lower end and a full 40kHz at its highest frequencies.I was pretty much instantly impressed with the sound of the KRK Rokit 8 G2's. While I've certainly heard a lot of pairs of better sounding studio monitors, considering the size and price of these, it's definitely pretty impressive. They're fine for uses of all types in home studios, but not professional mixing. They're fine for mixing at home but if you're a pro, they're not going to be adequate. They have a pretty good bass response for their size, but still do leave something to be desired down low when compared to larger monitors, which of course is to be expected...

System-optimized auto-limiter / Prevents unexpected peaks from damaging the speakers and provides consistency and clarity at high volumes Last but not least, the Rokit 8 G4 has a pretty impressively sized bass front-facing port at the bottom of the speaker. One important issue to mention is that the RP8 is designed for a larger room, or fully isolated, sound proofed area. Thus making these almost worse than useless for me, as I was looking for a pair of speakers that could sit on my desk about a meter away from my head. Yes I know these speakers would have been a bit big for that application but I wanted larger speakers for a better bass response at low volumes. The hiss is audible till about a 2 meters away.
